Scoping out a grow cabinet, need light recommendation

Hey, so this is my first post, yet i've read this forum ALL over and can definitely say i love the community but anyways, on with the topic. So I will be beginning a grow shortly and I was looking around my house for a decent place to start, I found the cabinet in the images attached. It looks confined enough for CFL's to be worth it but at this point I have no idea how many or even if i should use CFL's for a cabinet of this size. I will also be LST'ing my plants. I just need some recommendations from anyone who has grown in small spaces and uses CFL's. Any advice would be GREAT, thanks.

A 150 watt - 250 watt hps would be excellent in that cabinet.. Although you will have to worry about heat remember HPS ..
So in that case get yourself a 150 watt CFL or higher watt cfl Grow light and you will be rockin that little box.

Peace and Happy Growing

If you can manage the heat a 250 hps would be perfact.Or you can just use a 150 hps with a couple of cfls..If you have the money a led would do perfect inside there. But if you tight on cash then light that whole cab up with a bunch of 26 watt and 42 watt cfls.

HTG supply has great prices on lights and the HPS is not a bad option but heat is a killer when you first start out. Not to start the HPS vs. T5 war all over but IMO T5 is by far the best small space light. I run 1 start to finish in my tent right now and it is great.

Alright thanks for the advice on this, my money situation is not very tight so i will look into HPS, but i need to look around and compare, i heard about blue lights and how i need some more spectrum. So any things for that? or just stick with HPS, T5, or a clusterbomb of CFL's?

Cabinet looks good, get rid of the bottom shelf, I would CFL the shit out of this thing, 5 bulbs up top and 4 on each side and put about three plants in there. IMO a 250w hps would be to hot for this(unless you can vent the hell out of the thing while keeping it stealth).
