so this morning i was really stoned watching southpark (seas 9 episode "trapped in the closet")...well i had somewhat of a theory on the religion. if you havnt seen it or dont know about scientology its really crazy seeming religion that involves souls from other galaxys bieng trapped on earth and once monkeys evolved they captured there bodys and that is why humans have been fighting and hating eachother since the beginging.

I do think that the whole idea is crazy, but so is the idea of jesus coming from a virgin and coming back to life... To me scientology is kind of mocking other religions and its saying we are not all from the same god but we are different and we need to learn how to get along.

this is my take on things. any opinions? :joint:

Southpark is great and they portrayed it for what it is... I especially like the series on Mormons and Saddam & Jesus,
L.Ron Hubbard is a real space cadet

i guess to me it seems like its for people who dont really belive the shit but they just want to have something to be a part of. they want the church atmmosphere but dont want child rapists and ignoarant racists. its hard for me to belive that they really belive the stuff. either in it for the community experience or for the tax benefits.

yea thats what im saying, it is pretty well known to be false but people still follow it. I think its more about learning to get along because we are all different... well thats what i take out of it.

any scientologists on here?

Parthenogenesis is a genetic condition which can cause even Mammals to reproduce A-Sexually.... AKA Virgin Births....

To me scientology is kind of mocking other religions
heres a question for you, since Christianity comes from Juedeism, were the Christians mocking the jews? since Islam comes from Christianity, are the Muslems mocking the Christians?

remember: Closed minds are like closed Closets.... who dont YOU come out?

P.S: just for the record, im not religious.....

that is a monstrous stretch your performing there from your link
" and a few vertebrates (e.g., some fish,[SUP][2][/SUP] amphibians, reptiles,[SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][4][/SUP]and very rarely birds[SUP][5][/SUP] ). This type of reproduction has been induced artificially in a few species including fish and amphibians.[SUP][6][/SUP]"
and more importantly
[h=3]Mammals[/h] There are no known cases of naturally occurring mammalian parthenogenesis in the wild. Parthenogenetic progeny of mammals would have two X chromosomes, and would therefore be female.
Bolded underlined and italicized for your attention bongsmilie

yeah in a way they all are each of those religions had messages about not following false gods and to leave on religion in lieu of another is kinda :finger:

On June 26, 2007, International Stem Cell Corporation (ISCC), a California-based stem cell research company, announced that their lead scientist, Dr. Elena Revazova, and her research team were the first to intentionally create human stem cells from unfertilized human eggs using parthenogenesis. The process may offer a way for creating stem cells that are genetically matched to a particular woman for the treatment of degenerative diseases that might affect her. In December 2007, Dr. Revazova and ISCC published an article[SUP][52][/SUP] illustrating a breakthrough in the use of parthenogenesis to produce human stem cells that are homozygous in the HLA region of DNA. These stem cells are called HLA homozygous parthenogenetic human stem cells (hpSC-Hhom) and have unique characteristics that would allow derivatives of these cells to be implanted into millions of people without immune rejection.[SUP][53][/SUP] With proper selection of oocyte donors according to HLA haplotype, it is possible to generate a bank of cell lines whose tissue derivatives, collectively, could be MHC-matched with a significant number of individuals within the human population.
On August 2, 2007, after much independent investigation, it was revealed that discredited South Korean scientist Hwang Woo-Suk unknowingly produced the first human embryos resulting from parthenogenesis. Initially, Hwang claimed he and his team had extracted stem cells from cloned human embryos, a result later found to be fabricated. Further examination of the chromosomes of these cells show indicators of parthenogenesis in those extracted stem cells, similar to those found in the mice created by Tokyo scientists in 2004. Although Hwang deceived the world about being the first to create artificially cloned human embryos, he did contribute a major breakthrough to stem cell research by creating human embryos using parthenogenesis.[SUP][54][/SUP] Although the truth about the results of Hwang's work was just discovered, those embryos were created by him and his team before February 2004, making Hwang the first, unknowingly, to perform the process of parthenogenesis to create a human embryo and ultimately a human parthenogenetic stem cell line successfully.
maybe you should have read over the part that says "Humans"....

and we ARE talking about religion, so whos to say some "man in the sky" isnt some "Man FROM the sky".

Awesome! You're applying Poe's Law to an entire religion. Maybe that's the Scientology's true purpose: one day the church leaders will come out with it and say to their followers, 'ha, ha! We fooled you ALL. You see what happens when you don't apply critical thought and rely on faith? Now snap out of it and live your lives... I really like Bill Maher's movie Religulous, where he goes over Scientology dogma and people agree how silly it is. He then brings up taking snakes, virgin birth, ascending into the sky. Is this really any more likely? In a thousand years, Scientology may be taken as seriously as Christianity. It may just need to bake a little longer...

"Religion is about turning untested belief into unshakable truth through the power of institutions and the passage of time..." -Richard Dawkins
