Sativas are actually easier to grow

I’ve had some great success with manifolding and using LST to grow some full blooded sativas. They still stretched and still took 16+ weeks to finish though. The rest of my garden was chopped and dried before the last 3-4 plants was close to ready. Using the training techniques I was able to control how they stretched and got some awesome arm length buds that one friend still asks me to grow more of.

Touche.. As in you were right? Are you slow?
Slow? Maybe a little...but mostly just stoned. It's not a phrase I use much...but it always seemed to be used in two people having an discussion.

When you...a third party said touche...it was just not clear to me what you meant.

So you liked my post...thanks lol

PS sorry I made fun of your username...you must have expected some of that though.

Its not like you cant stretch out landraces under a screen.

But its kind of amazing how little the plants stretch vertically under a screen. A little more stretch might even be better. Sativas are easier, they just take longer.

I changed my avatar! lol
Creepy, I like it!

I can deal with height, it's the fussy nutrient needs, some change abruptly during the run, etc, etc.

Some sativa's are quite fussy, others...You would never know it was a pure or pure mix sativa..

I'm about to attempt to grow Desfran, supposedly a cross of a couple Latin landraces, and some kind of Thai. From pics of leaves, looks pretty pure, damn things look like shoelaces

Its strain dependent nutes wise id say they can be a lil fussy but so can some indicas i would say i have encountered more nute sensitive sativas than i have indicas ime but its all relative i think people say it as a general rule for a reason so new growers dont fuck up there plants over feeding i suppose maybe

Hi Powertech,
I've grown out three different phenos of Ace Golden Tiger which is a Malawi crossed with Meao Thai ...same strain as in the Desfran...actually same plant (Cannabiogen shares genetics with Ace)

Anyway...the Defran is going to be tall...really tall from both sides of the family. Good luck!

How was the smoke JD?
I’d like to broaden my sativa horizons.

It's a popular strain from Ace and now you can get seeds specific to the Thai pheno. Not easy to grow as you know...but with oral ingestion...I've had highs bordering on psychedelic and quite spiritual if done while fasting.

I let the strain go because I only had fem genetics. (order error) But have Zamaldelica and Peace Corp Panama from Ace as regular seeds to try next.

I'm starting a few of them in a tent, and then 2 will be going to people that grow outside (I'm giving them a jump start as its way too cold to plant yet here, not enough light yet either), at least one will be staying with me to play with. Was thinking of getting an extended height tent. Think this strain would do ok in a scrog?
