Interesting read I found in a signature at icmag. Pretty funny if you love Cannabis Sativa.

eh, lots of heresay and the guy is really making his own conclusions.

I do agree that indica doesn't offer nearly as much of the insightful deep highs, most of us probably should grow more sativas... I actually am looking into it.

I have noticed the amounts of insights I have on indica are dramatically TRUMPED by those of sativa.... so he definitely has a point here.

my thing is, how the hell do I get a sativa that's not too hybridized with indica that's going to grow great in my climate.

I do have sativa from 2 years ago I grew, there may be seeds... I should look hard.

good luck with ur sativas.... for me to even fuck with a sativa its gotta be potant has hell, have a decent flowering time, and have atleast a quarter indica in it lol

the thing is people are so used to indicas they don't realize when they have a good sativa... it takes the right mindset to use sativas in a way that is good.

you also gotta adjust your tolerance for sativas, if you sm oke indicas all day long you will never like anything sativas have to offer you, except the rarest most potent sativas but that's kinda getting redundant.. if you want to enjoy sativas you gotta only blaze indicas at night or late afternoon. pretty much...

as far as flowering time goes, I figure climatization will do the job for me. first year will probably not finish very good, second year will be better, 3rd year even better, etc.

I live in a desert. Sativas are historically tropical right? That's why I can't grow them outside where they can flourish. The humidity here rarely gets above 30% unless it's gonna rain. And it only rain like 3 inches here annually or something ridiculous like that. Your right on about smoking sativa and changing your mindset/habits. You have to not be expecting narcotic paralyzation. If you go into a sativa with better expectations, it's surely more enjoyable.
I think the main reason people don't smoke them is because it usually takes more weed to get stoned.
But as the author put it, trying to get stoned on a sativa is an oxymoron. Sativas do get you high while indicas get you stoned. You can smoke enough sativa to get stoned, but it usually takes a lot.
There really isn't a choice when your broke. You don't have the luxury of deciding what kind of high you like. Whatever weed you get, you smoke till you get stoned even if that includes a headache, confusion and disorientation.

yeah sativas are historically tropical.

but cannabis is notorious for evolving very quickly... if you take any super tropical sativa and breed it out in the area you live, guarantee you after 4 or 5 generations you will have a plant very tolerant to the weather around you.

and ideally, the high wont change because it will retain the cannabinoid cocktail while changing it's growth characteristics.. this is a much better way of retaining the high of a sativa but making it able to grow in whatever area you live.

I started a lil thread because of this:
https://www.rollitup.org/breeders-paradise/424727-start-my-new-future-sativa.html

I already found 3 PRISTINE seeds out of this dirty schwaggy mexican bud that was 10 years old that my mom has. we obviously don't touch the shit since we have epic buds to blaze... but I see the potential and I've smoked this mexican bud before and it got me VERY high.... so I"m already germinating the 3 because of this thread :D

Right on man. I'm looking into higher sativa leaning hybrids for next grow because of this too.
As much as I'd like to grow a pure sativa, I just can't do it yet with my current situation.

love htis thread

the amount of cbn alot of these indicas can be reallllly iritatting the front of my head pulsating like a migraine and disorientation isnt what i call a good morning high

but i dont mind the indicas at night you know because it can snooze me hard

my fav morning smoke so far has to be Cannelope Haze from the dna boys just delicious and the buzz is REALLY unique quality haze phase shifting

yeah but you can't look me in the face with a straight face and say blue dream is a legit pure sativa strain...its far from it, it's a distributed high that feels like nothingness...true sativas are nothing like blue dream.

I'd really like to grow nevilles haze someday. I know that it's everything I've heard it is, but supposedly it's really hard to grow not to mention the 14-16 week flowering time in some phenos. But damn, I've heard there's nothing like it.
