Sativa Buzz Harvest

I haven't grown a pure sativa in quite some time. If one allows sativa to mature until most of the trichs are amber, should the buzz still be a super "up" high, or does it also become narco-couch death weed, as does most of these hybrids in amber heaven?

It will become more couch lock stoney rather than mind fuck / floating eyeballs. Best to wait til alll trichs are milky and then hang , a few will mature to amber whislt drying, so u get mostly a cerebral buzz with a little relaxing body stone.

Was HOPING maybe sativa would prove out differently, but wasn't expecting a miracle. That'd kinda nullify the difference between the two main pot genres.

I know this is an old thread but it seems like only i can answer this, i have a sativa pure mexican land race weed, and i harvest when most of the trichs are amber and to answer your question no a amber sativa will not make you sleepy if anything it provides a more noticible flavor and the weed will hit a bit harsher in a burst of flavor rather than that common smoothness that most poeple associate with sativa. I tried to make it give couch lock but letting it all go amber on the last chop and it just seem to smoke better and the high is more up. And if you want amber on a pure sativa prepare for a very long grow cycle 24 weeks plus mabe alot longer since your waiting for it to amber

I like taking advantage of my sativa dom strains and harvesting them when they are fully formed just starting to turn milky.
