San Francisco Medical Cup 2013

I was at the LA cup in February and had a lot of fun. Anyone plan on going to the SF cup going on in a few weeks?

I haven't seen or heard much promotion for the event. I'm thinking I might just get my ticket regardless.

I wish don't have the cash to go down or available vacation at work. Hope you have fun if you do decide to go.

I bet SF will be a lot more low key because so many people shot their wad on LA and/or CO

I wanted to go but it's not in the cards.

Free seedz going to be given away. I wish I could get one, I love new strains.

Ganja Goodies will be there. Oakland harborside has entered our 20dose snackers bar in the edibles competition.

I realized at the LA cup that "free" seeds means "free gift with purchase", or "free for 10 minutes, hope you're in front of our booth!", or "free for our friends, who the hell are you?" Not that I think that seed companies have any obligation to give away seeds. I was hoping to go to the cup myself to buy seeds.

And all I got at the TGA booth at the LA cup was attitude, and then ignored. TGA gives shit away to the people on the weed nerd thread that kiss subcools ass.

They said they are throwing them, so I wouldn't stand in front this year.

I want to go. i think i am. What does my 50$ get me once im in? is there samples? are the people nice/generous or is it about the vendors makin sales?

Wel that settles it then, im not going. I watched a few videos and people seem like dicks, backs turned and closed off to the crowds doing 'private' smoke sessions. the vendors seem super stoned and aggitated to deal with the public. I tell you folks, the weed industry is fucked up. no customer service, ever club and vendor have no standard or sense of work ethic/customer service.

When I went to the LA cup there were a ton of booths giving out free dabs. And if you were actually spending money on seeds or buying from the dispensary booths then they gave you free stuff. Lots of free stickers and such. Many booths had raffles, and not all of them had an attitude. Some were cool. The Rare Dankness people were cool, but swamped. Crown Extracts gave me a huge dab hit. And all of the non weed/non concentrate people were pretty cool and approachable. I think it was mostly the seed co's and the dispensaries that had the biggest attitudes, and it wasn't all of them.

Overall I would say that while the atmosphere and people are friendly, it wasn't welcoming, if you grok.

I would love to go to SFcup but I went to Denver since I'm not medical. I had a blast, there wasn't much bud outside the medical area, and I only found seeds at a few places, buuut there were free dabs in every direction you looked. They had "dab bars" set up with 15-20 oil rigs set around them with people giving out free dabs all day no limits no attitude. If they didn't have a line infront of them they were calling for people to come get dabs. I bought seeds from the grand daddy purple booth, but all they had some some bay 11 so I just split a pack with a friend. Then 5 minutes later we hit the jack pot! SincitySeeds was doing a raffle for a bunch of oil rigs and custom torchs, tickets were $40 and when you bought a ticket, you got to pick a pack of seeds for free. So I bought 2 and my buddy bought 2 then we split the packs, also they were 15 packs not 10s . Sadly I didn't win a rig at the raffle, but they were throwing out free stuff through out it, and I scored a pack of the Sinmint seeds, and a tshirt, my buddy got a hoody, and we got some edibles another booth was throwing out. My buddy got a free magic budder maker, which after reading about them seems kinda cool. I think its magicbutter.com, and they gave away like 20 machines, I almost got one too. Anyway all in all I was glad I went, I only got a few free samples when buying other things, but again I wasn't medical.

I spent a lot of money at the LA cup and was given a bunch a free dabs and extras with my purchases. I can only speak of my own experience but when I met subcool at the LA cup he was cool as shit. He spent about ten minutes with me giving me grow tips and giving me props on my Chernobyl nugs that I showed him.

I was gonna go up there...and then I wanted to go to EDC instead...now I'm not going anywhere. FML. Going up there next weekend tho...haha

I am still tempted to rent a car and go up to the cup. My wife would be so pissed, though.

Dude, I have been trying to talk the wife into it all week. Now that I see these positive comments I am leaning towards going.
