San Francisco 49ers

I hate smith as much as any 9er fan. But he's definitely playing much much better under harbaugh. Harbaugh is a real coach who knows the qb position in and out and I think having him there has done wonders for smith and his confidence. Smith is still best at being conservative and managing the game, but when you have a great backfield featuring a stud like gore and a terrific defense, you don't need much else...remember dilfer and his super bowl ring? Anyway, looks like we're headed in the right direction! Go niners!!

So.... Morgan is out for the season.... And SF is headed to D-Town to visit the 5-0 Lions.... LETS GO NINERS

the morgan loss stings a bit because he was looking better than he ever had before, but not too much of a loss. Will be a good game vs. detroit for sure. Must find a way to contain megatron and hurry up stafford. That plus if smith doesn't make too many errors we got this.

LOL.... sounds like we have some work ahead of us in Detroit. Niners need to find someone to fill Morgan's shoes this season, any ideas?

I heard T.O. is finishing up rehab and looking for a team to sign him lol but i'd pass on him for sure. Not sure, maybe Ginn will finally step it up as a receiver? probably look to the depth chart...When is braylon coming back anyway?

God I've been a 49er fan for over 40 years and seen it all!!
Lions better watch their asses, it's about to be handed to them!!

it will be a great game. both teams are playing at their individual bests and should make for a great game. this will be alex smith's biggest test to this point. GO NINERS

well when i was growing up it was the time when dallas(which i cant stand) and 49ers were battleing in the 90's and jerry rice and steve young were doing it wat can i say stayed with them ever since!! now its our time and i cant wait till we play detroit 2morrow 5-1 baby

Thats great man! I too watched the 49ers during thier great days. I wasnt a part of the early years before Montana, too young, but everything since Joe. Bill Walsh & George Seifert. Dwight Clark, Roger Craig, Ronnie Lott, Jerry "Goldenfinger" Rice & TO.

Alex Smith has been given all the time to develop one could ask for, it is time to step up and play ball. The team has gelled finally under the guidance of Harbaugh. With a win on the road against a 5-0 Lions team, the 49ers would be on the way to a very strong conference finish. The division is otherwise weak.

GO NINERS..... BAY AREA STAND UP...... NINER NATION BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lions going to a possible 6-0, Ford Field is ganna be crazy...either way, I call it the game of the week!
