Ruderalis is not a Type of Cannabis

There is no such thing as ruderalis. Only indica and sativa. While the autoflower trait is dramatic, a ruderalis plant does not give a certain type of high, which is the defining factor for sativa or indica strains.

Discuss.

Cannabis is split into two types, as defined by the high it gives. Indica, sativa, or somewhere in between. Even hemp will fall into one of these categories. You can have a "ruderalis" plant that gives you an indica high, and you can have one that gives you a sativa high, but you can't have a sativa or indica plant that give you a "ruderalis high."

By that alone, ruderalis can't be a type of cannabis.

Are you seriously under the impression that the type of high is the deciding factor of what the classification of the plant is?

yeah, indica and sativa are defined by their different highs as well as leaf shape...ruderalis is defined by its ability to autoflower, still....a type of cannabis.

There are very distinct differences between each species of cannabis. Leaf size, plant height, high are all different phenotypes. Varying phenotypes don't make plants part of a different species, and many plants of different species can display similar phenotypes.
