THE BAD NEWS.... I have started to do my article and its been harder than i thought it would be. When I was in High School 15 years ago my wife, girlfriend at the time did most of my papers for me. I was more of a pubilc speaker than writer. I will be done in a couple days and will get you guys to look at it and see if its up to par. I dont want to hold down this newsletter.
THE GOOD NEWS... Its very hard to hurt my feelings and I am a fast learner. So I hope this worring is for nothing and with a little knowlegde I contiune to be a part of this team.
Now that I feel like a dumb ass let me ask If there is something else I can help with, in addition to the monthly article I hope to be writing..
Was there ever a good idea bad idea on the "contest corner" (name can change) section. It would be short and easy to do plus would take up some space. Just a short description of the contest the entry deadline and the prize. It could have a link to the actual contest. We dont usually have many contest at one time and this could get someone back to the site..." wow thats looks easy and what an awesome prize." "I need to go there right now and enter" once there we know they will be hooked all over again.
From reading your posts, i don't think it'll be much of a problem. Here's a good tip that i used to use often when writing fiction... just let the first draught write itself. Don't get hung up on this and that, just get all of your information onto the page, then edit it by way of a second draft.
Obviously with fiction you need to do several draughts, but with this I imagine two, three tops should suffice. Don't try and do it first time.
The competition thing sounds like a good idea to me. If you'd like to do that as well, that'd be great.
