The leaders of two of Israel's main opposition parties, Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, announce they will unite to form a coalition government in Israel in a bid to unseat Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister. Looks like they will finally get rid of Bibi.

Is it someone more moderate?

I guess time will tell, hopefully it is a step towards human rights. It is hard to see it not being.

And hopefully now the series of court cases can expose the corruption Netanyahu was involved in along with our ex leader.

Basically redneck logic in a nutshell, "the world is going to shit, so we're going to beat people up and ban them from cities and throw rocks and start fires in order to make our country a better place to live".
In all fairness, I have similar feelz towards the trumpers nowadays. Go back to where you came from. Improving the country is made quite a bit harder by their bs.

Edit: i do support beating the shit out of actual nazis, I think the most effective way to deal with them is just kick their ass anytime they show up and tell them they aren't welcome. So same shoe different foot.

Well...I guess as long as you realize it's the same shoe. I'll oppose nazis when they go somewhere to spread their message, but I'll support their right to say and think stupid things. Anything worth doing is hard and hating people is always ridiculously easy.

Nazis are kind of the exception to the rule for me, generally I agree, and used to include the white power/fascist folks under the blanket support for free speech. I can't back someone's rights when they use them to oppress someone else though. It's stuff that is expressly harmful, there isnt merit to any of it.

People are free to think whatever. I would point out it's a bit of a paradox to support someone's right to say something but oppose it in action. Fully get what you mean, but I guess my line of thought is that if I as an individual will consistently show up to oppose some other individual from expressing their views, then you are sorta de facto opposed to their rights to your full capacity

This is different from some sort of state based opposition, mine is just individual oriented, fuck your right to try and wipe our the jews..in my personal opinion. However it shouldnt be illegal to think anything. So I guess I do sort of support their right to say stuff...its a line between theory and practice, with a power dynamic element.

Sheesh, I could ramble...time for more weed.

Not really.

The beating people, relocating them and other mayhem are a means to their ends. They have much more in mind than rampage.

Guess I would add that I think reacting with violence is acceptable in this instance, generally speaking though of course it isn't acceptable to react to speech with violence. There is no outcome for the opposition but violence though. If your whole shtick is that you are superior and other groups should be subjugated or exterminated...there's just no real reasonable way to see how their desired outcome isn't to do great harm through violence. I think you should meet that head on, go ahead and get ahead of it before it gains steam.

Hitler did not intend to stop with killing off Jews. He intended to kill off most of the people in Eastern Europe. Not sure if he intended this for France but most def. he was using the extermination of Jews as a training platform for a much larger genocide. He was also training his soliders to kill on orders without remorse.

White supremacists in the US intend to either kill or relocate people of color so that white people may live in a white ethno-state.

“All civil rights for nonwhites would be removed,” she said. “All political power would be in the hands of white people, in particular white men because this movement is an extremely male and, many would say, toxically masculine movement. They also have pretty retrograde views about what women should be doing.”

These are true radicals. They plan to remake society, not just replace one elite with another.

There's just lots wrong with it. First there's the constitutional issue of hurting people over words, then there's the legal issue, then there's a dictator element like it's something Trumpers would do, then it goes against every hippie ideal ever created, and on top of that it conveys extreme weakness, as in, I'm so emotionally fragile that I give you the power to turn me into an animal/criminal just by saying a few words. Don't get me wrong, it'd be awesome to smash some nazi faces, but for me only in a fantasy kind of way, because it'd be a personal failure on many levels to do for realsies. To each his own, though. Sometimes a person just has to do what they think is right.
