i must say after a few days i have already seen good results she looks a look healther and vigrous in growth plus it makes my grow room smell like bready achol its made

nice. i think i read something you wrote or something like that. i too have been using co2 from yeast. and thought it would be ingenious to put an airstone in the mix to aggitate the. . . . . .yeasty organisms. and here you go doing it too. i have some questions for you.

1.) What type of yeast are you using?
2.) How much sugar to yeast ratio are you using?
3.) Have you heard of boiling the water and sugar first to aid in the process?
4.) Do you recycle your previous yeast and add it to the new batch?
5.) How long has your 5 gallon batch lasted?

Ok Oh Really.
To be onest i read that those yeasty beastys eat sugar to produce Co2 and once they finshed it all they die so i just used a hole bag of brown sugar with 42grames of yeast i thought this would be ok as the yeast reproduces
(thats the great thing about organisems give them what they need and they'll grow like crazy)and i just wait till the fIZzZzZing stops then i ditch it all and start afresh.
Im useing live yeast that i get from my bakers its the best.
How ever i did my first one with dry bread making yeast.
and for the water i just make sure its warm to start off the process dont use boiling water as it will kill the yeast plus if u dissolve the sugar then the yeast has less work to do and less work means less Co2 so i just pour the whole bag in the contaner pour in the warm water then the yeast and just let the air staones do all the work>

my room is 2m/4m with a 600w Hps growin Chruch from seed in chicken shit and fish blood and bone meal soil. (home recipe)
I have no idea what my ppm is but when i go in to the room that its in it STINKS of Co2 so i would have thought its fairly high but not high enough to effect me.

lol i love it but i am sad to tell you you are doing it all wrong.
i am going to give ya tip

i do not know these people i am just using them as an example

Brewer's Corn Sugar
the following is called bottling sugar
use this and use one of these
102 results found for 'yeast'

Red Star- Champagne Yeast would be a good choice

by all means dont get it from this place but get it none the less
you will get 10 times the yield from this then you will with the method you are using.
if you really want to kick some ass brew some beer while your at it.
this way you have 3 bangs for the buck.
the bottling sugar and yeast go together like a mofo and yeast will go ape shit for it making a ton of co2
the sugar is what we use to carbonate the bottle after you cap it.

agree with last poster on two points

a)Must be brewing yeast, bakers yeast is terrible
b)You guys are doing it all wrong.

read this post and make a sealable vessel. I like champange yeast in a 2L cola bottle with an airhose coming out the top into a bong type apparatus, allowing reproduction every every week or two with fresh soln.. you should see the pure co2 pouring out of the water.... spend 10 dollars.. forget airstones just shake when wort needs o2....upgrade..
