I like what Tesla stands for and appreciate the company's innovations and so will be glad if he manages to make the naysayers eat their words and money.

I wish Musk had stayed quiet when he offered support for the rescue effort in Thailand. That episode was bizarre and unhelpful both to the kids and himself. His actions struck me as hubris, which is something I've seen before in companies that fell and fell hard.

I don't pretend to understand the pricing of stocks of individual companies, especially Tesla. As some who do well in the markets say, invest in what you understand.

Only $120k for the car to let you do that lol

Seriously, I want to see Tesla make it. They've got a lot of challenges and the fundamentals don't look great right now but those are problems that can be overcome.
It doesn't cost that much. The base price is around $64,000. It's around $80,000 nicely equipped. Similarly priced to the BMW M3.

You are correct about the fundamentals though, and with companies like Porsche entering the electric market, things are going to get tougher for them.

No that car is not $120k.....around $50-$60k....and they have a $35k model they have not started producing yet. I'm gonna wait till after the Model y release next spring to decide. I told Tesla to let my deposit ride until then...

The Model 3 is definitely in production and they are making their way to customers- one was in traffic behind me the other day.

What is the Model Y going to be? Small SUV?

The main issue is that the more cars they make, the more money they lose. That's a problem that must be solved if they are to survive.

yes....mini suv on a model 3 frame
That will sell well.

They just need to figure out how to build a lot of them quickly and well.

The car business is much more difficult and involves much more technological expertise than most people give it credit for, including one Elon Musk.
