Remove cree cxa 3070 from CPU heatsink.

Hi, mean cree 3070 I have attached cooler with thermal adhesive on CPU. Is it
possibl to remove without destroying it?Has
anyone tried this?

Heat and box-Cutter ?

80°C; a chisel, gentle force and some luck

If you can just turn it on for a couple minutes then use something like a leather glove/insulated work glove or t- shirt, something. I just use a small hand towel then twist them from edges. Really pretty easy to remove without damaging.

Edit: that's been my experience using prolimatech pk-3.

Must be the remnants of the adhesive on the led away be paste to the new? Want to stick them by my CPU heatsink on a large heatsink
