Remote Curing

So about the time my weed is done drying I have to be away for 4 days. I might get 2-3 days of curing, but I think I want more than that.

If I take the stuff out of cure, or off the rack, and into a plastic sack, can I return it to cure it more later? Am I running a big risk of mold/rot without being able to properly seal/air it during curing? Am I running a big risk if I don't cure it at all? What might be the best way to store it?

You can still smoke it without curing it but letting it cure for a good week or two will give you the best smoke. If it doesn't cure properly and you leave it in a bag while it's still damp and don't burp it you can almost guarantee mold will form.

i was wondering if a food saver would keep them fresh. you could vaccum seal them up. anyone else think so?

I would think it would ruin the buds, your not supposed to touch them so much and vac packing them well, you'd crush it all. Maybe not ruin but a lot of crystals would rub off!

I still don't know what I'm ganna do. Thanks for posting everyone.

Ok so use a glass jar and every day open it and get some fresh air in. or you can use the under water curing method dont know if they wil work in your situation but you can check those out.

underwater curing? i searched but couldn't find it an im in a similar situation again - does anyone know any links or info?

I used to use that when I brought bud over and smoked with a bunch of people I used to work with. The first time I brought bud it was all nice and manicured and everybody was like "dude is this homegrown!?" of course I denied it. So from then on I put my shit in the vaccum bags so it crushed it a bit and looked more like some well handled commercial bud.:mrgreen:

You got away with that shit? lol the good thing about a food saver you can seal it or/and vac seal it. If you just make a pouch with bud in it and seal it up without using the vac seal then the bud is fine. It doesn't get crushed that way.
