I noticed my first problem this morning when the lights come on - only a small problem, 1 Leaf, slight nute burn! Funny thing is, Iv only fed her once and it was 1/4 strength! LOL, I fed her as her first 2 leaves turned yellow! Oh well, I know with my next 2 to leave it maybe an extra week before feeding them, the miracle grow soil has more than enough in it!
Anyway to try and solve my problem, I gave my baby a good flushing with distilled PH6.5 water..... I checked her about half hour ago, she still looks really happy! ,so I think she'll be fine... Maybe I'll just give her water till flowering which isnt to far away for her now really, I'll probably give her another week under 18/6 and then switch her to 12/12! (A friend, who is an experienced grower has advised giving 24/48 hours darkness before switching?? What do you guys think of this idea? I'v said I'm just gonna do a straight switch on this grow anyway but I thought it was quite a mad (as in good) idea?!)
I'v just ordered more beans too.. Aurora Indica, Big Bang, Honey B and Phatt Fruity!
I think I'll only grow 2 at a time with these babies as they are all high yeilders, Me and the Mrs picked 2 each! (Although Honey B has a special meaning for both of us so it kind of picked itself)

Anyway, not much in way of an update, I will add the pics in the mornning, lazy stoner that I am plus my Xbox is calling me! LOL
Peace

I never had any problems at 30 - 40% humidity. You should be fine with that.
Hope the flush does the trick.

Cheers V12, I'm on 36% at the moment,

I hope the flush does the trick too?!

For anyone who intends to grow Short Rider in the future - They have a tendency NOT to autoflower and also grow balls (Hermies) Another thing is this is one VERY SENSITIVE plant, Like I said in a previous post, I'v only fed her once with 1/4 strength Ionic grow in the 4 weeks she's been growing and she has slight nute burn on one leaf!
(I am partly to blame - Using Miiracle grow soil, LOL)
Anyway, the update pics! Not much change really, she's a slow grower and the 2 babies - A little bit more streatchy than their Sister when she was their age!

Appreciate the tip on the short ryders.
Not sure that's nuteburn. Looks like you just dripped some nutes onto the leaf while you were feeding. Nothing fatal. Plants still look very green though, so backing off on the nutes is prolly a good move for now.

Yeh, your probably right, I should stop being a clumsey stoner! LOL, :joint:

Thanks for your input V12, I'll see how it goes but I'll probably just start with the Ionic bloom in about 2/3 weeks ish (So much for this one being 8/9 weeks from seed, if it was I would need to be flushing her the day after feeding her for the harvest! LOL)

A few update pics,

the first 2 are of a weird trait I'v found (Again its only on 1 leaf so its not a major issue yet)

The others are just to show how she's growing!
I'v got several bottles of distilled water and I also still had half a bottle of ready mixed water with Ionic grow in it so I filled it with some of the other distilled water I had - So now heavily diluted feed!
I didn't have the heart to completely starve her! :-|

Anyone know if the first 2 pics are just a weird trait or is it something that I might have done to cause it ? :joint:

Thanks:peace::twisted:

Hey man, plants are lookin great so far... I figured out the hard way how sensitive they are to nutes... still going 1/2-3/4 strength on them I would be real wary about going full strength till you know they can handle it. I posted up some pics on my grow journal growing short rider as well in a bubbleponics.

Jedi, where'd you read that they have a tendency not to auto-flower? That's strange, does that mean you would have to do 12/12 to make them flower? I've had mine going on 24/0 and more recently 18/6 lighting and I got bud sites all over the place but they are flowering pretty slow it seems maybe I just need more bloom. Bit rusty as this is my first grow, and has been a little tricky with this strain. Haven't noticed any balls on mine so far, let's hope they stay straight!

I think these things vary a bit in phenotype between seeds... one of mine is gaining on double the size of the others, and is not short and bushy like the others it's branching out like a mofo. Keep it up man

Hey Pete,

I'v just read it through peoples journals and experiences - some autoflower, some don't, I'm gonna go with Chemindeuceds advice and veg under 18/6 for another 2/3 weeks and then switch to 12/12, as you can see mine are coming up for 5/6 weeks old now, no real proper budsites yet - its still not even showed its sex yet (Even though it stinks, LOL)
All my underside is being covered by the HUGE fan leafs, I mean bigger than my hand size!:joint:

Anyway, I spose I should upload some pics to show you all how its going - She looks like a carbon copy of SideShow Bob from the simpsons at the moment! LOL the other 2 are just really slow starters, much like their sister was at their age (2 weeks):peace::twisted:

OFFICIAL AUTOFLOWER GROW GUIDE (10/04) - written by the Joint doctor

Preferred growing methods

Indoors, Lowryder performs very well in soil mix (pots or beds) or in soil-less systems, where it can be cultivated from seed to bud in two months – 18 hours of light per day is recommended all the way through. Switching light cycles down to 12 hours may diminish yields and shorten the already-short life cycle slightly

DONT GO 12/12

Short rider isn't quite 100% autoflowering yet though - Some do, some don't! With mine, as you can see is still in a very immature veg stage - its almost 6 weeks old! I spose it really depends what happens in the next 2 weeks - if it doesnt start to flower I will switch to 12/12 (Chemindeuced's advice) - However if it does, then I will go with yours (and Joint Doctor's)
Time will tell...

Cheers Shawty...

Dude... Nice grow buy the way...I love reading about these autoflowers... You are right though. Ive been reading some people are having trouble with the pants autoflowering. I just read some dudes journal and his LR2 is over 2.5 feet high and no signs of buds or anything. Its just one big unshaven bush. I think I read that you are using MG. MG has time release, doesnt it? So when you think youre flushing, youre actually releasing... Someone wrote that use 1/4 nutes every other watering when the bottom leaves turn yellow... I would watch with that MG. There is nothing wrong with it if you use it correctly though. Its pretty much the lazy way to do it. I might do an experiment with my ak47/LR2's. One ill put in MG. Wont have to do shit. just water...Thats really lazy...LOL
Nice plants though...

Thanks DankBudds,

The MG that I'm using is "All Purpose", I'v read the bag twice and it doesn't say anything about the time realease nutes?

I water my biggest every day now, feed is still 1/4 strength with every other watering (Been doing this for only a week so far and she is responding quite nicely to it too) She's grown an inch and a 1/2 in 3 days, I'm hoping that this is where it will start to get a little more interesting for me.. :)
My 2 smaller ones now have their 1st true leaves - I transplanted them into bigger pots yesterday and messed up 1 of them, its still alive (For now) but its definatly in shock, it hasn't grown at all where as the one I did perfectly has grown quite a bit.. I'v got a feeling I may lose the shocked one.. I'll leave it for now in hope that it bounces back..

I'll post up a few update pics later and a pic of what I'm smokin at the moment (Nepal cream black hash - Squidgy).. its better than the weed around my area at the moment (Our weed is undercooked, uncured and damp and to top it off - it still has a the leaf and stalk on it too - Money grabbin b*$&@£ds!)

I remember mentioning the arrival of that black in my grow journal a few months ago.
It's all gone now here. I really enjoyed it while it lasted though :)
Buy what you can & save it for xmas. Don't think we are due any more. :(

LOL, it don't come around often (twice a year if we're lucky) I only got a Q, but I've smoked loads of joints and still have a big ball of it left :eyesmoke:

I don't think I can get anymore of it! :(

Ok, so quick update on my biggest of which I have nicknamed "Sideshow" (because it reminds me of sideshow bob - LOL)
She is now 7 inches high.. laughable really for a 6 week old plant but she is a stocky thing - she's grown 2 inches in 4 days so she really is starting to take off now, still no flowering signs so I don't think she's gonna autoflower for me ?!

The other 2, as you can see still very slow as I expected - although 1 is gonna have its growth stunted because I messed up the tranplant on it! Strange that I planted them at the same time and haven't done anything different with them, yet 1 had a bigger root mass than the other?! It still looks Ok-ish, but theres been no growth since the transplant - The other has taken to it nicely as you can see!
Oh and promised - the pics of the nepal cream black that I'm smoking at the memoment:peace::twisted:

I'm pleased to say - I have a confirmed female! :weed: (And rightly so from a fem seed)
Doesn't stop me getting excited though..LOL..
So, this is where my fun starts...:hump::joint:

Now I'v got my good news outta the way... a little update..

Ok, so the 1 I messed up during transplant is starting to grow again.. I think its gonna be Ok... The other little one with the succesful transplant is doing great... I don't think it even realised it had been transplanted! :)
other than that - nothing new here!

My confirmed baby girl I started a little bit of LST on her last night - nothing major - Just a slight tug 2 nodes from the top to open it up abit! She looks good for it too! :weed:

Anyway people sorry about the picture quality - I had to deal with a 1megapixel camera, and no pics of the little ones as they are still quite boring really but a couple of pics of my girl - nothing too interesting yet really (nothing that nobody has seen before anyway) but its proof she is a SHE! :D
