Ok guys I’m ready to finally spend some money. After spending days and days trimming I’m finally ready to buy a trimmer. The help I have does a lazy job so a trimmer helping should atleast replace him. Anyone have experience with a twister t6?

Ill check them out, the t6 is going for only 2700 at some places. So is it because of the look or actually taking potency out of the buds

both. Resin content is lost when machine trimming. To the naked eye the bud appears neatly trimmed, close inspection shows busted trichomes / missing trichomes on the outer parts of the flower. Dry trimming it's more missing and wet it's more smeared.

Personally I wish machine trimming was as good as hand trimming, would save a lot of time and money paying trimmers.

If you live in an illegal state then a machine trim will be ok because people have limited choices and are generally just happy to get flower lol. In legal states there is competition and the ones that don't hand trim can provide nicer product.

interesting. I am in an area where rec is just starting up but there is still shortages so nobody is picky yet. I appreciate the information for what the future holds.... you probably saved me ten k haha. I will say though I have seen some reviews of some big ass ops in CO using the eztrim satellite and they seem to love it. You would think people in CO would be picky by now?

Gonna go with the pro trim elite autos @taint recommended and re-evaluate this for a while. I have no problem paying people.... but man some of them just get so damn lazy and i feel bad constantly being on them about the quality of their work.

Thing is dispensary weed isn't the same quality is BM weed. Thats why the BM still thrives here in CO. There are a lot of picky people that won't settle for the dispensary BS and they look to growers that will provide the quality. Large BM grows are likely sending product to illegal states if they are machine trimming. Legal dispensary grows have so many overheads and costs that BM growers don't have, thus they do everything they can to keep costs low, trimming machines is just one of those things.

Find your market, find what they want, provided it.

@Renfro,@budman410 ... I got the GreenBroz215 locked down for this harvest. The guy up in Tulsa is doing me a solid by only charging me $500 for 7 days rental. Most stores are $350 a day. Im gonna run the Banana Punch OG, and Kosher Sorbet through it and see how it does. I'll inspect through a loupe. If it's not what im hoping for, then we will hand trim the rest. I've watched live demos, and it looks pretty impressive. It holds the buds natural curves, and doesn't turn it into a "gemstone". The blades only turn at 20 rpms, and no suction on the blades. We're currently in the middle of take down, so it'll be a couple of weeks before we begin. I'll try to keep you guys posted.

That trimmer is, from what I am told, the best one out there for not beating up the flower. LMK what you think.

I like the toms tumble trimmer. It beats the buds up a bit but ive always been more concerned about quality over appearance. It definitely doenst work as well on fluffy buds. I just got the little hand crank model, only used it once. I will be doing a dry ice hash run with it soon im really excited for that.

They make motorized units for you. But honestly, every 8-12 oz tumble only takes a couple minutes.... and hand cranking allows you to really get that tumble speed right. Either way, i like the unit. Every bit of plant that gets tumbled off can be rerun for dry ice hash in the same unit. Or make another kind of hash.

Just throwing it out there, Tom's Tumble Trimmers seem to do a decent job and don't knock off much kief. I hear they trim real nice anyway. Interesting design. Dry trim only.

Hope all are well.
