im a first timer one of my plants is pretty healthy except for jagged leaf tips. its about a foot away from a 400 hps stays at about 80....20-30 percent humidity, but its only affecting this one plant so i dunno whats up with it i thought it could have been magnesium deficient but i watered with some epsom salt and its only gotten worse  any advice would be great thanks!:blsmoke:

i mixed miracle grow potting mix with perlite and other soil. i bought a really cheap ph test for soil, but it wasnt very accurate so that could be the problem but i have mixed lime pellets into the mix

That all sounds pretty good, humidity should be closer to 50%

Don't do that again. lol I remember reading about these kind of problems. I picked up an axiom. IF IN DOUBT, FLUSH IT OUT. See, by flushing it, you don't have to diagnose the problem. You just get rid of it and start over. Use 1/4 strenght nute solution, and pour it thru, water it down good, remember the carpet, don't get it wet. If you don't have water running out, you have poor drainage for that one pot? Now let it sit for a couple days to clear the slate and water with regular nute solution. Remember its just a weed, you don't have to get a doctorate. :-?

you sure? if there is a deficiency, flushing will only remove more of whatever nutrient is lacking.

if i had to go by the growFAQs and a little experience, i would say you have a magnesium definciency. it takes a couple of days for the plant to turn around and the leaves that are affected will never recover but new growth will be fine. i would say foliar feed with a weak epson salt mix, twice a day. it worked for me.

good luck.
