Hey Videoman, on the site it says the plant reaches Average height: 1 meter
so its not going to be 10 feet tall, and he should only use a HPS for flower... if you have a hps and a MH running thats just going to eat up power.... and MH does basicly nothing for Flower, When marijuana is in flower they cannot absorb 6500k lights(blue light, MH) they need a more red/orange spectrum of light... you are right about everything else tho, im not trying to be a asshole, and i hope i made it clear im not trying to argue with you... just a couple things needed to be updated.
Cali-high, the best lights use a digital ballast, if you have one very good if you dont, you do not have the best.
Yeah using a mh and a HPS would be a little bit better, but for what it costs on your electric bill for you might as well buy another HPS because then you can have the right lumens per kWpH cause if your using a HPS and a MH for flower... thats 56,000 Lumens being used(HPS) and 40,000 out of 45,000 lumens Notbeing used. so a total of 56,000 lumens compaired to 5,000 lumens being used on a MH 400wat 45,000 lumens.
and you would be paying for the 40,000 lumens you arnt even using..... so why not buy 2 HPS so you're plants can soak up 56,000 lumens comming from two 400watt HPS. 56,000 lumens + 56,000 lumens = 112,000 lumens. 56,000 + 5,000 = 61,000 lumens.
last crop 4 plants 2x400 w hps just over 4 month seedling to dryed'n'bagged using old globes just over a pound and thats dryed so i dont see what your going on about and not a sog method . with some side lighting for lower budz i'd expect even more . check my gallery last pict are about 2 weeks from harvest
A pound from a single 400 is simply amazing! My goal is a quarter of that using a 400 and that might be a stretch (no pun intended).
IMO, that scrog picture demonstrates many years of experience that doesn't require any talk to back itself up.
At least you have a big room, cali-high...I'm just concerned that, after reading the average height of 1 meter, I assume that is supposed to be at harvest time, right?? So you'd probably want to flower at way less than that, right?? I'm somewhat of a noob, so I would appreciate someone clearing this up....moreover, flowering AT 1 meter is gonna make your plants so big that you'll need plenty of side-lighting if you want anything but your top few feet to produce a yield that's worth all the time you spend vegging....is this a good way to look at it??
i guess i'll change my name to joefoolass , if his plants are a meter and he's just put them into flower then i cant see why close to a pound dry is so unbelievible , mine were 2 weeks veg 24h and about 8" when put on 12/12 , Ive just started 3 more of the grapefruit strain, im going to veg them for another week or so with a 600 and a 400 w. I am shooting for 2 pound dry off 6 or 7 plants and you will be the first to know the result !
