I meant to say, to be more clear, he was saying no matter the wattage going into the different COB brands, they run at the same efficiency when running at the same wattages. So if they are running at the same wattage 35w, 50w, or 75w, they are gonna be getting the exact same efficiency. I know thats not true based on reading actual data on sites testing them in comparison. But thats neither here nor there, because thats not important to me. I just want the best setup to grow the fattest buds in my 4x4 tents lol.
All cobs have an efficiency curve, lower wattage = higher efficiency, higher wattage = lower efficiency. Some cobs are more efficient than others but they all have a performance curve.

If you use 4 75w cobs and have a 300w rig you will get a specific amount of light. If you use 6 50w cobs you still have a 300w rig but it will provide more light than the 75w cob based 300w rig, you just have to spend more on cobs to get higher efficiency at the same wattage. If you have two rigs with the same number of cobs and two different wattages the higher wattage rig will always put out more light.
