well what do you have around ?

just dont make it out of cardbord .. even with low heat CLFs ..

some masonite or plywood maybe ..

be creativ ..

maybe a big plastic box turnd up side down ? ..

as a minimum paint it flat white .. if you can get some maylor or something alike use that with some glue ... or the growers best friend .. dutch tape ..

I even got a roll of alluminium tape .. I reccon I would just use that .. on some plywood .. make some holes for the bulbs .. use the dutch tape to secure all the wires on top ..

maybe fix it and move the plants up and down ... I like that more then moveing my light .. but that is a question of tast I guess ..

And no I'm using a armoire. Flat white paint and fans. Also have a 6in exhaust fan. Also I fully intend on throwing some full spectrum in there. But if I didn't could I offset the difference by giving them more veg time?

more veg time = bigger plants = more plant to cover = more CLFs ..

keep em small .. finish them fast .. do another run ..

but a few bulbs wont cost a billion .. see if walmart have some 23W 5000K on sale for a few bucks ..

see if you have some old lamps you can steal the socket from .. be creativ ..

or just steal your dad`s light fixture in his garages ;)

Ok. I've added 8 23w bulbs on y splitters. I got the 5000 bc home depot didn't have 6500. It's blinding to look in my box now.

I grow with CFL. when I first started I was using daylight bulbs and then switching over to 2700k. what a waist of time and $$$. I only use the 2700k blubs. I have them 24/0 for 16days and then switch over to 12/12.

I just harvest 2 1/2 ounces of great nugs off of 3 plants. and I did it from seed to harvest in 10weeks. about 68days.

I know there are other growers out there that get a lot more than that, but I think thats a pretty good ammount of bud in such a short time. it works great. but the key is tons of light and co2.
I grow with plain ol CFLs in my closet . If I can grow big dank buds, anyone can !

For a CFL reflector I just hung a basic lampshade over my CFLs with fishing string. If you wanted to get fancy, you could even line the inside of the lamp shade with mylar etc... or paint it white. Also, good call about the light socket, I gutted some old shitty looking lamp my grandma gave me... be resourceful, diy bongsmilie

I think if anything keep the 68w bulbs u have if u have 3 of em thats not a bad start thats just over 200 real watts of cfls get some of the 5000k or higher bulbs and do a mixed spectrum for veg and flowering, only thing u need to change when u start flowering is ur light cycle. With cfl bulbs I've read u want around 100w of light, and real watts not what it says its equal to vs an incandescent bulb. And no u don't need a HID light to grow whether its Mh or Hps.

Its not that hard to make ur own reflector search DIY reflector, im pretty sure I've read a thread like that on this site. Just need around 2' of some 6-8" metal duct, some screws and maybe sumptin like sheet metal sheers.

you dont NEED a HID light but i think we all would agree.....way better product and much bigger yields....and not to mention.....faster grow times

Try it. Hell, if it works, great, if not, upgrade on your next "experiment". It's all trial and error in the beginning.

Ok guys. Progress report. I've transplanted all plants to 2 gallon pots. Like I said before I kept the 6 68w bulbs in but also added 8 5000 rated 23w bulbs in. They're on y splitters. And I made reflectors out of tin pans I bought at the dollar store. I also decided to go to a 24:0 photoperiod mostly bc I couldn't fit all those timers on the power strips I had. My set up has been like that for about 2 days now and I'm not noticing any real change in plant growth. Which is weird bc I was expecting huge spike. I'm thinking maybe the girls are just in a bit of shock because of the transplanting and the added lights all at once. Let me know what you guys think.
