Quick question

Got 4 plants growing, tansplanted all of them a week ago from solo cups to 1 gal pots with FFOF. Plants have about 5-7 nodes but none are taller than 3, maybe 4 inches, real bushy.... Do the question is, would it be a good idea to raise the lights? They are about 2 inches above right now. Also, at 2.5 weeks total, when can I fertilize and should I re-pot again before 12/12??

what kind of lights are you using? also you do not need to fertalize in FF OF for at least 4 weeks, I would have transplanted in at least a 3 gallon container,

Right now I have 160w of 2700s and 6500s but barely any light escapes he grow area. I plan on adding more as I go but as hey are not sretching at all I think the lights r good for now. I agree, shoulda moved to 3 gal. I do have a bunch of 5 gal buckets tho. I guess I should give it another week then tranplsant hen anoher wek or so til 12/12??

If you want to stretch them raising the lights will do it. Just go from 2 inches to 4 or 5. Don't be surprised if you see 2 inches of growth in 24 hrs.

Why do you want to stretch them? They sound short and bushy, thats a good thing. Dont raise the lights it wont help you at all.
I germ in solo cups, two weeks then into 1 1/2 gal pots for 2-3 weeks then flower. Then only the females get 4 gal buckets.
I'm going to skip the cups and germ right in the pots next time though because i have a little more room now. Good luck.

dont stretch, keep them as close as possible
Wow, thanks for all the replies guys. I don't necessarily want to stretch them but they are so short and bushy I feel like the new leave that are forming, the ones on the newly forming banches at the early nodes, aren't getting enough light. So, if that's nit really a concern I'll just keep 'em bushy. I would like to transplant to the bigger buckets tho, it's ok to transplant after flowering begins??

I wanna start flowering by the end of the month so what should be my plan of action as far as the re-potting goes?

PS. I'd love to upload some pics of these beauties but Comcast and ATT both suck balls and haven't hooked up my Internet yet, been posing and reading on these forums for 3 weeks on my iPhone, FUCK my life....

There's only so much you can do. These nodes will grow just fine without your help. When you start 12/12 the plant will stretch on its own due to the reduced light its getting. This will open up the canopy somewhat and all the nodes that are able to support growth will start producing buds. Trying to do TOO much is a very common rookie mistake.
