quick Humidity Dome Question

Just dropped my seeds in my plugs, and put them in a humidity dome with some water at the bottom and lightly sprayed the dome w/ water and put my fluorescents about 19 inches from the top of the plastic dome.

Question: How far should the top of the plastic dome be from the lights?

BTW: They're on a 24hour light cycle.

well u dont need to lights on until the seeds break the surface and then when the seeds pop up take them out of the dome and keep the fluros about an inche away from the plants ... a trick to a good cfl grow is to keep the lights allways as close as u can.. my cfls are allways about 3 cms above my foliage

I usually just rest the lights on the dome or right above it, never had problems with it melting it. I use 40w shop lights btw

Now They've been on for about 18 hours (the lights)... am I going to ruin the seeds, or germination precess? .... should I just turn the lights off? I thought I was told to just put a little water in, and drop the seeds in the plugs?

Will I be okay to keep the lights on, or do I run the risk of messing anything up?
