so if i start flushing my sativas (super lemon haze) when 70-80% are cloudy will that b ok for a 2 week flush b4 i harvest them?? im hoping to achive about 5-10% amber
I have never grown SLH so I am not sue how fast the trichome colors will advance, but being mostly sativa I will do something I don't like to do and guess that will be early enough to start to flush to end up with the final trich color you want. Just like how sativas have a long flowering period, due to narrow lighter green leaves containing less chlorophyll than something more indica, the trichome color change is not as rapid as in somethng with more indica in it.
Strains that are pure sativa and very highly predominant sativa, like 90% sativa, will reach peak THC levels when the trichomes are still clear I don't know the exact percentage of sativa in SLH but I tend to believe it is up there in or near that range but if you want mostly cloudy, they're your plants, so go for it. The only thing I would advise is if any of the 5% to 10% amber you see goes beyond a light colored amber and become a deeper darker amber, rethink things a bit and take your plants a little earlier even if that means a small percentage of clear or only slightly cloudy trichomes remain.
