Question for subcool about Super Soil.

IN your HT article you talk about having 25-50lbs of wormcastings but in the SS thread you say only 25lbs. I'm also wondering if you've made any recent changes to your recipe. Also wondering if you spice up the soil for vegging.

Maybe I can help and Subcool can correct me if I'm wrong.
I believe what the recipe means is you can use from 25 to 50 lbs, it is your call
on how much to use. I think most commercial bags come in 30#'s anyway.
Subcool has stated repeatedly he doesn't add anything to his soil, just water.
Only during flowering will he add succanat and that I believe is on day 30 and 45.
The mix is hot and adding more spice and not knowing what it can do to your plants
is not a wise choice and you could ruin your ladies.
Hope this helps some

He recommends vegging in plain Roots soil..

Ive tried adding a small layer of supersoil into the bottom of my veg pots (2.5gals) and some strains love it and take off, others dont like it and take forever to grow nice again.

Also, in his video mixing the supersoil he uses 60lbs of worm castings in one batch, and ive read him say "the more the better". I use 60lbs per batch

Yep its about cash flow castings cost a lot and not everyone can buy 2-25 pound bags each run. The min is 25 pounds I feel but it would be hard to use to much.

Another question. Ive seen multiple different recipes for the soil on your different blogs and threads. I was wondering which of these had the best results and the tastiest buds. One was
8- Large bags of High quality Organic potting soil with a coco and Mycorrhizae

1- 25-50 pounds of Organic Worm castings

5# Steamed Bone meal

5# Bloom bat Guano

5# Blood meal

¾ cup Epson salts

1 cup Sweet Lime ( Dolimite)

½ Cup Azomite ( Trace Elements)

2- TBS Powdered Humic Acid

and another one had 3lbs of rock phosphate. I also read you use some organic unprocessed sugars on day 30 and 45 of flowering. Wondering what day you used mother earths organic tea when flowering too. If theres anything I might have left out I was wondering if you could give me some tips and maybe revise some of your posts.

The most current mix is in the somewhere in the page 40's range of the super soil thread.

Please read through the super soil thread and take some notes, you will find most ?s answered there.

I read it twice actually and took a page of note and noted page #s and what I wanted to review on that page.

Looking at those note, check page 43 in the Super Soil thread :)

Just got my first TGA beans (they sent the wrong ones :( ) but either way its TGA BABY!

I am excited to get them in the ground, I am sharing a couple with some friends who grow for medical patients
here in MI as well.... I wish I ordered more (ordered a dozen!) and wish I got a couple of the ones I really wanted but
turns out they were out by the time they (NOT TGA!) got around to shipping my order so just substituted them with other
TGA strains (hey they were at least TGA substitutes so I can't complain really)

Only thing I am really considering running other than TGA is a White Rhino.... Some patients have really been asking
and I recently got some Blue Dream from Cali and WOW this was like it was coated with powered sugar!!!

All my friends have gotten blasted and are now buggin the shit out of me to sell em some but with it bein this good as early as I picked it. . . im keepin the JTR for me an my wife! Thats my JTR at WEEK 7 in my avatar! I am now on week 10 for the rest of my JTR plants! Sorry, didnt mean to thread jack. +rep

Thanks Sub, that is very kind of you but I do not need to bother you.
They were all and all a good bunch to help me out at all.
Kinda a little bummed as it took them almost a mth to get them shipped
and they were only a few states away.
How can I truly complain, as I said they did me a favor helping me.
They did deliver just not the exact requests BUT it was all TGA so it
is not like they stuck me with some junk.

I really just need to break down and order another dozen to get a total variety and
doubles of a couple I want to share with some other people who actually care about
helping their patients... Before I do that I will have to find a new source to deal with
I think.

Thanks and I can't wait to present some Jack the Ripper to my MS Patient, I truly tailor my
medicine towards him but also towards two cancer patients I have which are on SSI so I help
them and they each make me a good home cooked meal when we meet.

I read through the whole soil 101 thread and learned a lot. Just trying to get it the same way you do for the best results.

Whats different about it?
From the recipe I have, and the new one on Youtube.com, the only difference I can see is Fish Bone Meal vs. Steamed Bone Meal.. As well as the subtraction of the Soft Rock Phosphates. Could of swore I seen/read one where I also seen the addition of Kelp Meal(?).. Could be way wrong on that one though.

Some times we use the rock sometimes not cant tell if it helps but it dont hurt.
Fish bones just smarter than Cow parts but same results

Kelp Meal is in the Roots I do not add it

The newest recipe calls for 6 bags Roots and 2 Biobiz Light FYI is what I am currently using :)

Noted! For sure.

Me and the old lady, just ordered enough of the ingredients from Amazon to make up our next 6 batches. Minus the RO and castings that is.

Figured we could just mix up the other stuff, pre-mix style and store them in 5 gallon buckets. Thus way, when mix time comes around, just grab the 8 bags of soil, 2 bags of the castings, and 1 of our ready togo buckets. All lazy style. BAMN!! lol

Which honestly Sub, is not a half bad idea. Slap the TGA logo on the side and your in yet another business brother. heh
