Question for Electrician, or a MacGuyver.

My uncle cut this out of his attic. Said I could have it. Trouble is I've got no idea how to get this thing to fire. I've repaired some wires on phone chargers and small things, but this is a bit different. There's no on/off switch. I'm pretty sure it was meant to be installed and operated via flip-switch on a wall.

Anyone know if this is repairable?

hi, i dont want to give you bad advice so take it as you will, what id do is remove old feed cable and replace with new rated cable, then as you suggest it needs a remote switch, for testing you can get a inline fused one rated at the correct ampage etc, then power her up and see, you can get into getting a metre on it and testing etc,but unless you know what your looking for it can be confusing, me personally would make sure it was connected to a good earthed supply with a fused switch and take it from there, (just keep emergancy phone number on hand lol!!)

Look in the second picture , it litterly says all you need to know

Google basic wireing schematics for a quick education

If you still cant figure it out , Then electric is not for you

Thanks Cozz. I'll do as you suggested.

That's not me holding the fan, actually didn't notice the name tag in that pic, sometimes it's the most obvious things ya don't notice. I'll delete it. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
