If you take cuttings from an autoflower, will the cutting still autoflower?

is anyone doing this?

also, are the yields much different?

oh..and what light schedule are you using?

I've read that if you take cuttings from an autoflowering plant those cuttings just start flowering at the same time as your motherplant because you can't keep an autoflower plant in the veg phase. This means your little cutting will be very small when it starts to flower, so it is useless to take cuttings from an autoflowering plant.

The clone probably would grow after it had rooted. But it would be a pointless thing to do! Best to just leave an auto to grow unmolested.

I'm also interested in what will happen to those cuttings. I think they will stay very, very small and will yield almost nothing but hey, it's worth a try :-D!

Yeah they will carry on with their life cycle.. 18/6 seems to be the most popular life cycle for Autos, but it does vary from strain to strain

forgot cloning autos and just let them germninate and get a shitload of seeds. Pay less for the regular non fem seeds and just purposely let them germinate so you have 500 or so seeds and dont have to buy them again, this is much easier than trying to clone something everyone says not to.

Having grown various autos for several seasons now, I have found no reason to limit their light less than 24/0. I don't understand the premise that they need rest as theri little factories will run 24/0 if they have light. Mine have done well always and produce some good nugs.......having stated that, at times when I have too many in my "closet", I'll put a few outside or move'em to a 400w hps....Personally I have found little to no difference regardless.....
I believe cloning to be of no use as they do their photoperiod thing regardless of what you do.....I just let two of mine mate and got a shit load of seeds that I'm growing now which is a much better use of the plant......
