Ill be following this.

Was just looking at the company and it seems like they are legit, be its more expensive than people should have to pay. If I end up making my own boards Ill be following a similar design but more diodes to run more efficiently. you sure this isnt the 800 or is this the 800Plus that you are running? Seems like others are already trying to undercut. Shenzhen is a place where 90% of all products are made in China so odds are both companies are operating out of there. I think that three of these at $130 each with 1 HLG-600 would be around $500-600. Its all about finding the right person to work with.

I got the 800 lm561c diodes for 80 bucks each from Meijiu. I probably would have gone with the 960 lm301b board from H2K in hindsight, but I would have had to get the heatsinks separately. Basically these boards are the same as bcblondes' boards. Do the math and the price is definitely comprable. Yeah, they are based out of china, but I don't think Meijiu, at least, are jinxing on bins.

I was looking at those, did you get a kit or buy only the boards then get everything separate? They want $600 for two boards and all the hardware.

I ended up getting just the boards and heatsinks from them (Meijiu) and got a 600w HLG-600-48A with the onboard dimming g function for $110 from Dericsson on Alibaba. Excellent prices on driver's, and as far as I can tell (and I don't proclaim to be an expert) they look legit and are working just fine. Dimming with the screwdriver is so satisfying... it's almost like having sex with a chick you don't deserve who is surprisingly tight and well lubricated. Naturally that is.

I'm not sure where you are based, but the best thing about shopping from China, for me, is the fact that they can reduce the shipping invoice value price below the tariff/import tax limit. Basically this saves me an additional 35%!!! It's a steal! I kind of feel like Charlie Sheen during his 'tiger blood' phase...Winning!

Nice I was quoted $800 to get three boards shipped with a HLG-600 with all the bells and whistles. Maybe If I buy separate Ill get a better deal.

If just the boards are 130 * 3 then that's only 390. The driver from Meijiu isn't the cheapest, so I would look for that from someone else. Also, check about their free shipping. Just type ''free shipping" in their company profile on ali.Screenshot_20190104-113013.jpg

I like the design and theres not a lot of overhead on the boards, it would cost me $88 in LEDs without the board or manufacturing costs. So if I can get the boards for 100 each and get free shipping, maybe get the heat sinks, get the driver for 100 somewhere else... Should be looking at $400-500 shipped. If that can happen Ill be getting quite a few of these.

Yeah, the more you get, the less you pay. I would be looking at FPS Powerland 600W 35-54vdc driver. Greengenes recommended this in his last vlog. Same efficiency as HLG, but cheaper. If you get the heatsink make sure you get the one that covers the whole board... Thought I was getting this one...guess not... Gets hot in there when turned up, that's for sure... Need to get some fans to cool them.
