QB does the Bubba x OG (Dr.Greenthumb)

I have a journal going on the farm too so a lot of this will be copy and pasted over from there. Stay tuned this should be fun.I just got these the other day... the brand new bubba og from dr.greenthumb

and this will be the system they start in from germ to future mothers... their will be going into a UC8XL and a perfect room... their other clones will be going into my homeboys garden and he uses promix (green) and the full AN line. We will be growing out clones from moms 1-4. I will be doing 2 of each he will be doing a whole bunch



The setup...

For the 4 seedlings/moms...
400w mh
30 gal tub
5"netpots
70l/min air pump
4 round air grenades
R/o water
Botanicare calmag plus and aquashield
Hg roots excellerautor
Hg drip clean
Hg magic green (cocktailed with neem and protekt once they get older)
Hg aquaflakes
NO ALGEN EXTRACT! (that shit is not for dwc at all your system gets filthy and it honestly doesnt make a diff as far as I see)

Their later years... They will be getting cloned (aero cloner)massively and the original seed mom will be killed off... Their clones will be in 2 diff peoples rooms... Mine goes like this...

1 clone from each mom will be going into promix like my bubba pictured above for preservation and the dwc will be taken out.

The rest are going into a room with...
2 x 1000w mh for veg (digilux) and hps for bloom (the new digital ushio bulbs)

He will be vegging under 1000's also hortilux blue I believe hes using on these and flowering under eye hortilux digital bulbs... we both use quantum digital ballasts.

this is about a week and a day or 2 after planting the seeds...

Here is a pic of my current grow (bubba kush we got the clone from oaksterdam in cali back in 200 and and a couple dried and cured bud shots from the last harvest...

Current grow... This is where my bubba x og will be going after they get big enough to take clones... I hope the only difference is that they have twice as much bud as the plants pictured lol god knows this is a shitty yielder but its so topnotch it makes the shitty yield worth it.... This is the middle of week 4

Im here and watching.....Docs site lists the Og and his Bubba as small yeilders compared to his other stuff. I would assume that the cross wont make that any better. Im glad you are doing this so we can see the differences in growing methods....

Doc me too this is a good thing for the whole community... From what it lools like we are the only 2 with journals of this strain on the whole world wide web... Im happy to be a pioneer and I really appreciate your company and your hard work so far. Props to you.

Little update action.... This is about 2 weeks after the pop... they are starting to pick it up a little bit now by the time my crop now is done these should be ready to go to the cloner I believe I timed planting these just right on accident though lol... good accident for me... anyway here is some pics....

The strongest of the group so far... The first to pop the most vigorous and temperamental of the group...



The second best looking... The 3rd to pop



The 3rd best who didn't like the ph being too high at all... I straightened it out though now its doing good again...



If you look closely at the seed leaves and the tips of the first true leaves you can see the spotting from the ph being off... its all corrected now but this one here was sensitive... you see the other 2 are flawless...

Last but not least my bubba mother and also my first try at anything other then hydroponics. She looks fantastic.

Update...
Well I'm not really keeping track of the days but its about 3 weeks after planting the seeds and they look fantastic. Before I talk about that though....

I been talking to Rob from HG for about a year now off and on about shit when I need some advice. Well anyway he just so happened to be in my area the other day and told me he wanted to meet me so we hung out in the grow shop for a sec and chopped it up. Today he was about to leave and I just so happened to call with a question about shooting powder and what do you know... He gave me this big ass bottle of this shit the House-Garden scientists say is the best thing since roots excel.... anyway here it is Amino Treatment... Yes these bubba og's will be getting hit with this here shortly once they get a little bit bigger...



On to the bubba og's...

Plant #1 my personal fav... This one can not only take a ph that was way off and a higher feeding ~400ppm no problem, but this one is the fastest grower also. I had my buddy over who I am tag teaming the genetics with and he said its his fav too....anyway here she is.







Notice its already on its 7 fingered leaves also...


Plant #2
This one is the 3rd to pop and the second best looking, best tolerating plant of the 3. The only reason this is at #2 is because it was behind on the pop and is not vegging as fast as #1. Its a beautiful plant though. Here she is.





Plant #3 is the 2nd to pop and the piece of shit of the group... This one got tip burned off the 400ppm and it was the one who spotted when the ph was off... Its still a healthy plant though overall just my least fav of the 3 so far... With my luck this one is about to be the best pheno lol thats how it usually goes though right.





Here is the new addition to the room since I changed where my hoods in my bloom room were venting from. I got this and they seem happy. They were really happy before too but now they are clapping their hands lol.

Another update like 3 hours later... I couldn't wait to try the amino treatment... I determined that these are well established plants and gave it a little less then the bottle says I hit them @ .5ml per gal the bottle says use .8 in the second week of veg so I should be good. Talked to Rob about it too he is the one who gave me the .5ml recommendation. We will see what this shit is made of starting right now

Yeah im bout to rock this shit doc lol. Im shooting for the moon with these. I have had a lot of healthy plants but these are in the top 2 of healthiest plants ever, the leaves all feel super moist and like velvet they are beautiful.

Update... Since I uploaded photos to photobucket instead of thc farmer (even though thcfarmers uploader doesnt work) that bitch ass dicksucker logic closed my thread and then banned me cuz "im an asshole" so in turn I say fuck logic and thc farmer from now on this journal will be on rollitup only! Im bout to go to the farm and let everybody know also so they can all come over here too.

Idk what soil is I never used it lol. For sure though I love my hydro systems I wouldnt trade them for the world.

Hydro always scared me you guys are brave , one mistake in hydro an the are dead.
