Purple Northern Lights?

Has anyone ever heard of NL with purple phenotypes? i got some NL from Nirvana and i just sprouted my 4th seed. every one so far has turned purple during veg. the stems/stalk turn purple all over, the new growth is purple around the edges and the older leaves are purple on the underside. unfortunatley i havent gotten to through flower yet but is this a normal thing? didnt think NL was known for being purple. i dont think im doing anything wrong if 4 in a row have done it. i've read that purpling can be due to environmental problems but my temps/humidity are at the acceptable levels. i have noticed that supercropping really brings out the purple. i think it looks really cool and kinda hope the buds turn purple too.

anyone have any thoughts?

is it genetics or have i been stressing them out?

thanks!

nope, bud was pretty much on the brown/green side
no fancy colors, very nice pine scent to the bud though
bummer maybe i'll get lucky haha. pine scent is kind of exciting tho, my friend used to get me some bud that tasted really piney and it was some good shit.

thanks again +rep for the reassurance!

thanks for the rep, don't get too worried about bud color, different nl strains do different things
the nl strain list is big, real tangled strain history
nl#5 is the one that's known for piney bud, real low odor growing, and having a bit more 'head' than other northern lights
which is what i got from mine

ahhh i see, i dont think i have #5. im not that worried about color, i just think it will be cool if it does. this is my 4th take at my first indoor grow so im really just trying to make it through flower. i keep fucking it up.

NL#5 is my personal favorite for yields & flavor. Best bud for camping, hands down. And it wont stink up your ride. Along with Haze and Skunk #1, Northern Lights is among the most influential strains of all time. The #5 strain was first entered into competition in 1989. The strain quickly dominated the Cannabis Cup, winning in '89, '90, and '92. A “Grade A” Indica Dominant Hybrid/Popular High Yield Strain that takes approx. 65-75 days for flowering, or sometimes longer. Extremely resinous, great for making hash. A very euphoric high that lasts for 3-4 hrs. Any strain with kush in it can turn purple, because it naturally grows in high elevations and in colder climates, hence the Hindu Kush Mountains. Here is a yummy pic of my NL#5 5 weeks from harvest.
