Title says it all haha. Here's what I'm working with right now:

4-26w 6500k CFLs
2-26w 2700K CFLs
Fox Farms Ocean Forest
Fox Farms Nutes
-Grow Big
-Big Bloom
-Tiger Bloom
1-Purple Jems regular seed
1-Short rider feminized seed

Going to start out with 18/6 light cycle to try and avoid the hottest hours of the day in oklahoma and see how it works, hopefully up it to 20/4 if the temps aren't too high. The plan is to hopefully have 2 fems, but if not i wouldn't mind breeding them and seeing what they would produce. If anybody has any opinions or suggestions on this please feel free to express.

The purple jem sprouted today (4/8/10) and the short rider should be right behind it if all goes well. The purple jem looks lonely under all those lights right now.

I will get some pics up when they both are ready to go and there is something worth posting lol.

Thanks man! Glad you're here along for the ride. Be sure to link me when you get yours up. What kind of lighting are you going to be running for yours?

I'm going to be using my 150w for sprouting/sexing, then moving the sexed females under my 400w. And then repeating that process every 40 days.

Let me just write a post and get something out there...Short rider from Nirvana fuckin sucks. Seeds don't germinate like they should. Only got one to grow a taproot then the shit stopped after it was about a cm long. And it wasn't just one of them either, so far their 0 for 3 on germinating. Just had to get it off my chest and let everybody else know how horrible they really are.

I have heard people saying on the forum that if your package gets x-rayed it will seriously decrease your germination rate because of the radiation and all... But if it's all one strain, then it's hard to believe that it could be from the x-ray.

good to hear reports from personal experience.

how many of the "short ryder" did you get in total?

I wouldn't doubt that, I mean as bad as you hear they are for people now no telling the damage to something so precious. 5 feminized total so there goes half the crop like nothing. Sent a message to Nirvana's help desk to hopefully get a replacement order of some sort. So for now I planted another Purple Jem seed to double the odds for a good outcome. Should see her in a few days. I'll be getting some pics up tmr of PJ#1 (lets call her Baja from now on) just to show the nice growth over the short time.

on a small scale like that I can see how you might not be bothered by a 50% ratio... But I just spent about $600 on 100 seeds and I know that i'd rip someones head off if I got a 50% germ rate.

I wonder how many generations of inbreeding an (auto X non-auto) cross it takes for the genetics to be 100% autoflower?

Yeah i would say its def still unstable from everything i've been reading about it. And no a 50% germ rate flat out blows. I mean would you take 50% in school all day long? I highly doubt that, and if you would, then maybe you need to get that small thing between your shoulders checked out.

Not a whole lot to look at for now but none the less its progress and the little things count. Just been feeding a small amount of water every day to make sure the soil hasn't become bone dry until she will be ready to transplant.
