So given that if you look at the ingrediants of Miricle Gro it is a soiless medium as well , If you buy the mix for cactus and succulants it has NO time release nutrients just a starter charge ,peat moss,composted forest products(probaly bark and twigs),sand,and perlite . So I know you say Miricle Gro what thats crap. But i think its the belief that all there soil has time release nutrients is why they have a bad rep. So I got a clone sitting in a 1g pot of Miricle Gro for cactus mix as an experiment to see how it does .This soil is listed as fast draining.

Now lets take this one step further . Small time growers on a budget like myself dont want to shell out for a bale of Sunshine or Promix.
I saw at home depot you can buy a bale of peat for 12 dollars 2.2 cf bale . So buy a bag of perlite and for around 20 bucks u got yourself a cheap soiless mix . It isnt proven yet but I'm gonna try it. I'll add some enzymes to the mix and I'll be using Jacks Classic fertilizer.

Coco is the best soilless alternative IMO Never ran it myself, but users like Shrubs First and others getting amazing results. Just another consideration.

Good suggestion seems with coco you got to run hydro nutes and ph though or am I wrong? I,m wanting stick with a soiless mix ,pre mixed or One I can mix . I figured out that Promix has a line that sell at Lowes and HD called Priemer brand its just the spagnum peat but a 2.2 bale is only around 10 bucks ,so then just add ammendments.

Yeah If I were to do coco I would run canna coco line or similar, many ways to slice an apple, it was just an idea.

thanks for stopping by . I dont have high hopes for the Blueberry they was secondary plants for me . They are budding out though and one of the Blueberrys flower heads has pink hairs , makes me wonder if its Blueberry or not. Blueberry was bagseed too by the way.

Update on the fungus gnats . They seem to be 100% gone . Seems after a couple waterings with having the Mosquito Dunk in the pot ,them rat bastards meet their demise. I can deal with this if all I have to do is treat all my soil with the dunk , I,ll stick with my soil and 86 the soiless idea . I have soil down I dont want to learn another media when this is working fine.

Of the 3 soils I,ve used Happy Frog has had the best results out of FFOF and Roots Organics . I may give FFOF another run for I used on my first grow and didnt really know what was going on.

I just got back from picking up another clone , found some Medibud . So next grow already in progress will be 1 Medibud,1 Purple Flo, and 1 Pineapple Express . I,m going to veg these bigger into 5g pots and flower no more than 4 at a time bigger plants same area.I'll start another thread for those .

how is the cost compared between those 3 soil mediums if you dont mind me askin?
was happy frog the most expensive?

Just got some better pics taken . I just left them in the room and turned off my Hps so there not orande with lines in it lol .I,m at 35 days flowering.

Fungus gnats are so annoying. I used hysopisis mites, I know I spelled that wrong but they seemed to wipe out my problem in a matter of a week. your looking good bro

Well I just made a good discovery by chance . I have my son this weekend ,so just now while checking my veg plants , I just climbed in the chamber and pulled the door closed . I was worried about him coming out to the garage to grab a soda or something . Anyways i figured out that the fan in the veg area was pulling my intake damper open letting in cold air dammit . I just plugged it in with my exhaust to fix the problem . Mabey that will get my lights off temp up some .
