Honestly I dont know what the hell happened. Im not sure how I "Fried" this plant, there were lots of lights but not close. I never foliar fed her or anything, I even went easy on nutes. The only thing I did do though (even during veg) was use that garden safe weekly..eventually made pest go away. Mammath your gonna have to elaborate with me man I honestly dont know where It went wrong BESIDES from what I read..which was Nutes being in a warm place instead of a cool dark spot, recirculation of warm air (happened time to time)..and thats it.
Heat can do this sort of damage but I discounted that because your funning cfls.
I've cooked plants before with HID lamp heat but we are talking extremes of 120F for long periods of time to do the sort of damage your plant has sustained.
When you say your nutes were hot do you mean the nute mix?
If the nute concentrate was warm shouldn't matter because you mix it with water?
If you watered with really hot water you can kill a plant easy.
The main reason I want you to discover what caused this catastrophe is so you can avoid it happening next grow.
You got some more seeds germing yet?

I see what you mean with the nutes, because either way I dont feed my plant cold water, its usually room temp. I have not yet germ any seeds because im moving to another place and waiting. Like you said, I need to figure out what the hell happened so It doesnt happen again. The only thing I CAN remember is leaving to colorado 2 1/2 weeks ago and the lights were on for 24 hours. She was still sticky when I chopped her down and made a good butter mix with it, everyone seemed to like it......but me -_-. Back to reading eh. Thanks mammath.

I feel for you man! I did a similar trick last fall. Had a jug of unfinished tea & molasses, threw in sugar and yeast to make a co2 bubbler. Then forgot and instead of using the new jug dumped the fetid mess on my plants by mistake. Fried the bitch very similar to yours. I flushed ,misted waited a day and chopped. It was a shame but it gave me some smoke!

Wow, I hadn't checked your thread in a while and I see that your plants ended up alot like mine, and I know for a fact that my nutrients have been over 75 degrees with the cap closed.

I had two plants get destroyed to what I thought was root rot...

Can you share some insight into this bacteria you were talking about? Here are the symptoms I keep seeing on my plants (these all went away when I gave one plant to a buddy with different nutrients)

Starts out as a small tiny orange/rust colored spot on a lower (oldest) leaf
Rust colored spot evolves into more rust colored spots on leaves
Then rust colored spots turn into dark brown spots
Leaves start to dry out from the tips and through the veins
Eventually the plant gets droopy and droopier over time
After 3 days of solid droopy progression plant is completely limp and tips start getting crispy all over

See this is why I keep my nutrients in my fridge. It slows the mircro organisms down still keeping them alive. Intution I'm doing a seed run as soon as I get my choco chunk seeds I'll send you some exotic seeds bro. I plan on mating my choco chunk male plants with my violator kush and also strawberry cough.

damn that is so sorry to hear. it is my first grow as well. check out my purple erkle. have had her outside for a month when she was a foot tall now look at her she is so pretty and bushy. all i have been using for nutes is: dr. earth bat guano, fox farm bat guano and earthworm castings, and fish emulsion. i think i have been doing good with my grow so far. i started early in the season. i will also attach pics of my whole garden too. my whole garden has: 1 snowcap mother, 2 white widow mothers, 1 big bud x mendo purps mother, 1 Alaskan thunderfuck clone. 1 black domina clone, 1 massachusetts super skunk clone, 1 "the purps" clone, 1 shiva skunk clone, 1 himalyan gold mother, 1 romulan haze clone, and of course the purple erkle(12 total). the dispensary i bought the purple erkle from said that it was a mother plant' but from my research i heard it doesnt come from seed but in clone form. is that true? since the last week of april one little clone has died on me' so i think im doing okay

Sorry guys havent had internet.

Thats exactly what happened to mine. We are obviously dealing with the same issue. Heres the thing about the nute solution fact:

Like mammath said, when you use nutes your mixing it in with water thats already some what near warm since the plant doesnt like cold water, i usually just buy water and let it sit out for a day, then feed. So im somewhat ruling out the fact that warm nutes could of done this, but, what if the nutes were extremely warm and then added could that be a possibility?? I just read the above statements of people having 100F+ in grow rooms and never seen this type of shit, thats the only reason why I dont understand how I could of fried this girl. The hole time I was only away from home for 2 days, always watching her.

Heres quote by quote for what I believe happened, I dont think it was a nute factor but next time im keeping that shit in a dark cool place:

"Fusarium Wilt":
Most common in warm grow rooms and greenhouses. Recirculating nutrient solutions above 75F (24C) creates prefect conditions for Fusarium. Fusairum Starts as small spots on older leaves, lower leaves. Leaf tips curl, wil and suddenly drry to crisp portions of the plant or entire plant will wilt (<^>) <---- thats my middle finger.

Control: Cleanliness, Use fresh, clean growing medium (Obviously a transfer), avoid nitrogen overfertilization

Preventrive action is necessary. Keep nutrient solution below 75F. Hydrogen proxide infusions will also arrest fusarium (im thinking the ones at hydro store, not familiar with that). - Marijuana hortirculture Medical Growers Bible

Some of the words mentioned in that quote were edited but thats pretty much whats in the bible.

Hate to bring this thread back up, but did anyone figure out this whole bacteria thing? We already questioned the fact that I didnt fry it with cfls, they are not that hot. Look at page 16 to see it fried since you guys havent seen this in a while. Any help would work.

Long story short: Plant went great, 2 weeks into flowering it wilts, I give it a little water and it perks back up. Next day it fries. Could it be lack of water?

were you always setting your ph?

Search PH fluctuation on google.
Honestly no, but it was always checked. It stayed neutral (maybe around 6.8-7.0, it was a cheap reader), this time I will in fact be setting it, since I know how now. Thanks for the heads up it didnt even cross my mind...been a while :fire:
