Hello, this is my first post here and I just got done with my first harvest, for the most part. I had 5 Ruby Red Gorilla Bubble plants going with 3 under two HPS lights at 600watts each, and the other two under a 600W COB setup. It's looking like I might have about 8 pounds. But along with these, I had 5 blueberry satellites going and cut 2 down already a couple days before the rest. I have 3 more of those I'm planning on cutting today. I had 10 clones going of these blues as of about 3 weeks ago, but based on the low yield and some less than grand feedback, I and another buddy decided we didn't want to continue with this phenotype, and with an over abundance of clones going on in my blue room, I gave these all away.
But, the flavor and smell is just ridiculous with this blueberry, and is the most blueberry smelling one I've ever smelled. It's come up that it's now a wanted phenotype in my circle, as it's the "best blueberry they've ever seen". So now I want to bring it back. I haven't heard back from the guy I gave the clones to, who I know couldn't handle flowering all of them at the same time with his setup, so shouldn't have an issue giving me one back, if he hasn't purged plants he isn't going to keep. But just in case, I wanted to see if I could pull a couple clippings from these before I chop them down. I've heard of being able to bring a clipping back to veg, with a delay in root development, but not sure of the best method to try. Like would going straight to 24 hours of light work better or 18/6, or maybe transition from 18/6 to 24? And should the bud be removed or left on the clipping? I'm going to try to find a small, less developed branch low on the stem, and do this regardless, but would rather go in with some prior knowledge to increase the chances of it working, instead of a science experiment. Just looking to get a mama plant going, as I've heard the clones from a flowering plant don't turn out to be great plants, but their subsequent clones are fine. Thanks for any help in advance.
Here are some pics of the blueberry satellite I'd like to clone. It's not as developed as it should be as far as size because I kind of rushed this into flowering to try to keep it close to the same schedule as the rest, but these were extremely healthy plants and didn't get even one spec of discoloration until I started the water flush and drying to prepare to cut. Today is day 57 of flowering for them. The pic of the underdeveloped buds is where I want to take a cutting from.
