i use promix bx, the compressed blocks there great. you need to remember promix is a soiless medium technically. if your having nutrient problems it could be that the ph of your medium is off or your not watering with the correct ph. i ph my nutrients befor adding them to promix, i believe anywhere within 5.9 to 6.1 is reasonable.
