PRO-MIX HP or PRO-MIX BX???

That's what I used for my last two grows because it's all I could find in my small town.
But it works great. I still fed with my nutes and never noticed an issue with the time released ferts in the ProMix. I did use less of my own nutes tho...just in case. Worked great for me and will be chopping down some of the plants grown in the ProMix potting mix in a few days.
I will be getting the ProMix HP next time I'm in the city tho. It's cheaper for a bale of HP than these smaller bags of potting mix.
**Edit to add**
I also added some Perlite to the potting mix for extra drainage but didn't add any dolomite. Just tried to keep my feed water ph'd around 6.2 through the run and seemed to work fine
It’s still laying around... I may just use it on a couple of freebies I got... it’s worth a try...

I'm currently using the HP. First time using this stuff and I absolutely love it. When I was in solo cups I had to water EVERY SINGLE MORNING but now that im in 3 gallon pots, I water a gallon per plant and it doesn't dry up AS quick. Averaging about 3-4 days between feeds now. & that's under a 600w metal halide bulb sitting about 20 inches from the top of the plants.

I can honestly say I don't think I would use anything other than the promix hp now. I love it! My only issue with it is that I have a few gnats here and there and I don't know if it was contaminated from factory or from just sitting out in my local garden center. My guess is the latter, but other than that it's been great so far.

The HP is what I used. I switched to Berger BM6 HP, it's also a peat based mix but it's a little cheaper and I have had excellent results with it. It was about 20 bucks cheaper a bale.

Lol another resurrected thread.
