Previous outdoor yeild?

How much of a difference would you say pot size makes in a northern climate such as north ontario or michigan? Because I heard somewhere that in a short outdoor growing season a bigger pot is a waste because the roots can only get so big in the short growing season? I'm planning on growing purple kush fem, early vixen fem, and jack herrer autofem all from cropking, starting them in late March indoors and putting them outside asap. I planed to grow in 5 gallon pots for easy transport if I need to and because I don't have access to bulk soil so it would be hard to buy a hundred bags of soil from my local co-op lol but I worry I might get a terrible yeild in those bukets considering you guys use atleast 45gal from what I heard so far.. So do you think it would be better if I got tripple garbage bags rolled down into a kind of pot and used that instead? The only trouble would be finding enough soil for that many plants...

Anyone has any suggestions to change in my plan please let me know :) I tried a bagseed grow last year but my seeds werent started until July and they were cut down by someone a few weeks into flower, my best guess is my parents because I was stupid and had them kind of near my house, this year I want to do a guerilla grow with 5 purple fems, 5 early vixen, 5 jack herrer auto and then 2 bagseeds I'm going to grow and see what happens with that. I'm interested in the autos because something jst feels wrong that autos can produce just as quality bud as a plant that took its time for months to grow buds. Anyone have experience with autos? Do they produce leafier buds because I feel like they would be

Tons of good buds. Just remember how they make autos by breeding the strain with the ruderelis , thereby in a comparison to the actual photo strain, less but still some pretty impressive plants if you go with a good breeder
I wanted to try jack herrer auto by crop kings, how would that work out if I started them in the start of april? Will I get nice dense buds? My nightmare is wasting a grow season having 15+ plants and just left with a bunch of crystally leaves and no nice dense hairy buds. I find it hard to get good seeds true North is not reliable just looking at their website it glitches so bad. Cropking is really the only one that works for me due to living in Canada, and I can't send a money order. I was also gonna try purple kush and early vixen

Autos are great for perpetual outdoor if medicine is your goal, a lot of us have good luck with sweet seeds. The breeder / company is the big deal with autos IMO . If you've read good things about crop king then rock it, if you heard leafy things then maybe it's not worth it. My autos were dense have fun with it
