I find 18/6 to grow healthier and more sturdy looking plants, and it also seems to make them less prone to stress, along with other disorders. It is also a more natural light cycle than 24/0 or even 20/4. I truly believe the girls need their beauty rest. Chlorosis is REAL my friends , I saw that demon first hand the last time i tried 24/0. Ever since then i went 18/6 and never looked back...
18-6 Have You heard of the 12-1 cycle?I believe it was used to save energy but in flower they advise to cut back.Don't ever use that bullshit. It just adds the time You save in hours daily onto the total flower time of the plant.I Lost Two Weeks!

I use 12:1 and a reduced light cycle for flower and have had the opposite of your results.
Mine finish 7-12 days earlier.
Perhaps the light cycles work differently with different strains.
The 12/1 light cycle has a very unpredictable turnout, the varying results of your yield can be a little higher, remain the same, or worst case scenario decrease greatly. I think 12/1 has to much of a wild factor to give consistently great results. If it works for you it might work great, but if it doesnt work... Well then by the time you realize it didn't work the damage is pretty much done and you'll just be stuck with sum shity weight. I've also heard of some plants even going hermie becuase of it. There's just no proven way to even mildly estimate the outcome of a 12/1 regime on any specific situation, it's way too erratic and I just don't think it's worth the risk if you ask me. But that's just my 2 cents, and to each his own.
