Potasium deficiency??

Hey guys I have a fruity chronic juice plant that is in week 5 of flower and i think i may have a potasium deficiency.

FFoF soil amended with Espoma garden tone, Espoma Garden Lime and perilite.
Nutrients im using general Organics full lineup feeding according to schedule ( have been giving a little extra bio thrive-bloom and bio bud since it later stages of flower and this plant is growing like crazy)

i havent been PHing much but i do ammend with garden lime which should buffer my soil.
lockout from salt buildup isnt really a possibility...since im pretty much 100% organic.

anyways heres some pics...in my opinion they look like potasium deficiency from the chart.

im using the cal mag every week so i really find it hard to believe its a cal mag deficiency though it does look close to calcium.. anyways thoughts opinions

ps. if it is in fact potash deficiency whats a good potasium suppliment i can use without spending an arm and a leg. the plant that this is happening to is budding like crazy and is growing at a rate of at least 2x faster than my other plant in flower and the other plant is much more indica dom than the fruity chronic juice.

you might could try top-dressing with some high-P bat guano.

...btw, any particular reason you're using the cal/mag? ...with the stuff you describe above, you shouldn't need the cal/mag.

what do you mean with the stuff i described above? my soil and ammendments or my nute lineup.

the calmag is part of the feeding schedule on the GO lineup im using so i just go with the chart, do you think i could be causing lockout with too much MG and Ca?

Naw bro i doubt your using to much...what would your soil read for NPK ratio

Oh and how much potasium is available immidiatly from bat guanno? if it is a potash deficiency i belive its because the plant is using more than what can break down in my soil and this is causing the deficiency as im adding quite a bit of bloom nutues to the soil for such a small plant.

the plant itself not counting the container is around 2 1/2 ft tall. this pic was taken more than 10 days ago.

not sure what FFoF reads but i ammend it with that Espoma garden tone which is 3-4-4 i believe.. but im sure all that is used up by now.

im almost thinking about putting it in a 5 gallon bucket but its kinda late in flower and i dont really want to hinder its growth by making it focus on root growth.

Put it in the 5 gal pot...the plant won't focus on root growth, the plant will grow significantly if allowed a larger area for root production. And for potassium i would try Sure K or potash, heard Sure K is better though

Yes it is potash deficiency but in early stages...if you correct quick shouldn't affect growth too much at all

I am using General Organics as well in a soiless mix and having similar issues with one of my phenos. It looks very similar to my leaves. I think they need to up the K in their mix. Strangely only one pheno has shown these signs though.

I use Bat Guano with high P. doing flowering, I usealy mix it up in my SS in my flowering mix/pots, but also give them a extra feed at week 4 of flowering in form of a top dressing, 2 table spoons on top before I water ..

have you tried using more of the bio thrive- bloom and biop bud in your waterings? how often do you feed?

and i have the same issue only one is showing signs the other seems to be doing just fine.

thanks for your input, im going to check local store and see if they have any bat guano. im asuming its not water soluble so maybe ill make a nice AACT with it, i have some nice homeade worm castings as well that i can use.

Try Kelp meal if your lookin for something more organic...you dont want bat guano its for phosphorous....if your lookin for K get kelp

I feed once a week or every third watering. It is really my 'experimental' crop and I normally use Technoflora's series.I like to side by side and test different nute lines. I am following the recipe pretty verbatim with the addition of some high N guano every once and a while. I have only run the line on one and a half crops though so my experience with it is limited.

well no bat guano they didnt carry it. I did get some general hydroponics bloom formula but im kinda reluctant to add syntetic nutrients to my organic grow. I also picked up some potasium supliment pills at my local "natural food" store which is 100% potasium, not sure if it would be available immidiatly or not but i think im going to try and disssolve one or 2 of these bad boys and chuck it in with my regular feeding which is scheduled for tomorow, might get a day early though.

...you could also try Protekt which is almost 4% potassium and will deliver some P to the rootzone quickly.

btw, i'm just shooting from the hip, ...spit-balling, as it were, and no organic expert, my grobro is but sadly, he isn't here today for me to grill for ya.

Actually it is water soluble. Unless the bats are running on petrol.
