Hey all. I was wondering what size of pot it would take to grow a plant to its full potential outdoors. Thanks. 52

the ground would work best out doors. Other then that a 5 gal pot/bucket should work.

The size of the pot doesn't affect how big the plant can grow, just how often you have to water. A large pot will hold more water, and allow for less frequent waterings, so it's more convenient if they need to be left unattended for any reason.

Hairy Bob you are correct, I've grown some massive plants in less than 5 gallon containers. The only problem with the smaller pots is when the plants get big they can be blown over easily by strong winds.

You're right of course, being an indoor grower I hadn't considered the wind, thanks for pointing that out.

That's the best way from a plant's point of view, just renders it pretty immobile if you want to shift it in a hurry.

you can do any size you want.

but if you are a new grower outside a 3 to 5 gallon would be less hassle until you have a few grows in.

a good tip is to dig a hole in the earth and pot your pot in the hole.

makes it shorter and easer to hide +helps from wind knocking it over all the time if you go with a smallish pot.

this is indoors but i've seen out side bigger plants in small pots.

12/12 from seed about 1 and a half weeks to harvest.

she was 42.8 grams dry weight.

52"+ in a 1 gallon pot.
