Pollinated female plants right before harvesting

Hello, fellow growers

I have to ask you for an emergency opinion

I grew my first lovely female plants to the stage when they need to be harvested; it's good news. Bad news is I found a small amount of tiny microscopic seeds in all of my crop (4 plants). I know the reason - the crop got pollinated by a hermaphrodite, which I didn't elliminate because it turned into the hermaphrodite right in the end of flowering stage (about 2 weeks ago) and I just couldn't sacrifice my big main plant.

The question is what are concequences of obtaining plants with tiny, barely visible seeds? Is my crop and 5 months of growth completely ruined? How much should I worry about smoking these plants after drying and curing?

Thank you!

If it's just personal don't worry about it, just pick out the seeds (they taste like shit), otherwise it should be fine. I purposely seed a lot of my plants, the remaining smoke when I take the seeds out is no different imo. Sometimes I smoke it, sometimes I throw it into the trim bin for extra sift material.

Hello, GroErr

Thank you for the reply. "Sift material" is what used for extracts or ...? I'm new to this industry and I don't get what "Sift material" means. :-?

Yeah google sift or kief, you extract that from the bud or trim using a screen, it's a version of hash, concentrated and nice and clean, great for making edibles. I throw in my popcorn bud, sometimes bud if I grew out more than I need, any extra trim like when I de-seed my bud into a bin. I extract the sift, then use that for cooking, mainly pills made with coconut oil.

Yes sift material is what can be used to make extract. It can be a general term I suppose, but I think sift usually means like you would let the trichomes fall through a screen to sift (break/seperate) from the bud. Like flour goes through a sifter

Thank you vety much, sir.

May I ask you another question. One of my plants looks like it could flower a little bit longer but considering the fact that it started to grow seeds is there a point to let it flower a little longer or it will only get worse?

Thank you!

Myself, I'd let it go until it's ready. Immature or mature seeds, you'll still be picking them out so you may as well finish it properly.
