Hey guys, here's my plant.
Please help me, I noticed the two bottom leaves are yellowing (but I hear thats normal) but I also notice that one of the other leaves is starting to turn a lightish green colour and showing a small brown spot.

My plant is kept at around 73F during lights out and about 82F during lights on.

x2 42 Watt CFLs x2 26 Watt CFLs.

Lights 18/6

Fan going

pH of water is around 6.4-7

Miracle Grow soil (I know it ain't the best, but I'm new and it's all I could afford. Going for FFOF next grow)

I give her some high nitrogen nutes 24-8-16 every other watering.

Watered right as she starts to droop (not overwatering)

Please help, why is she yellowing? :joint:

It honestly looks pretty good to me. Some of the discolored leaves could be either that they are not receiving as much light as the top leaves or maybe too much nutes.

What brand of nutes are you using and how much of it are you adding per gallon of water? You usually don't want to go full strength with nutes right away; it's better to start them at about 1/4 or 1/2 strength.

Ok stop giving her nutes, Miracle Gro has enough nutes already to last at least a month.

Do not give her nutes for at least a month then only use 1/4 strength.

Chemical nutes can be a bit much

Also next time add some perlite to the soil

It's just some miracle grow stuff, but I've only used it one time on her... and it was a half a tsp... lol.
The burn was there waay before I gave her any nutes.

let the soil dry out and water with regular water. the yellowing leaves on the bottom can be pulled off. the plant looks fine

She is getting burnt. I would flush with some ph'ed water. It will take like four days or more for you to see results, soil take a little longer than hydro.

if you flush miracle gro soil you will be releasing more nutes into soil

From what Ive read, flushing Miracle Grow soil will only release more fertilizer, so dont do that.

Edit: Damn you posted that right before me Keico :)

I can't flush, according to a lot of people my MG Soil will just release more fertilizer.

I wish I hadn't used this shit soil, my plant was growing so nice and now it looks so droopy and sad.

if your soil has feed in it,more water equals more feed

it should state on the soil how many weeks feed it has roughly, from seed its best to do it in something enert for the first week or so

Listen all is not lost. These plants are stronger than you think.

Just give plain water and wait.

Giver her some time and when she tells you she needs nutes then give it to her

start her off slow 1/4 1/2 3/4 full

just take it slow she will be ok
