I live in UK and have been gowing hydro flood and drain for 18months just changed over to aeroponics. Can anyone please help me here are few pics!!

The green dots/disease appeared 5 days ago, these pics were taken yesterday but it has gotten far worse. Ive talked to a few people in grow shops who have had it before they have said there is nothing i can do but bin plants so id like to know of anyone that has successfully treated these before.

p.s. i dont think i have much time left as it has gotten really bad in last 24hours, would have taken new pics but camera i used was borrowed!

here are some pics of why i think could be fusarium wilt as well..........

in my flower room i have an aeroponics '32 Pot Amazon Syterm' and a flood and drain on the right hand side, i think the infestionation (if it is thrips) may have come from the stones on the flood and drain to the right as i lost my previouse crop in this flood and drain before i changed over to aeroponics

Here are some more pics of my veg room and my 2 mother plants which look completely fucked now :cry::cry:

............especially anyone that knows of any UK products I can get my hands on ASAP

Hi mate, I live in the uk and have just realised a weeks or two ago that all my plants were infested with thrips both in vegging and flowering. It effected my flowering plants so much that they had no potency. B and Q sell a lot of products which target thrips. I bought something systematic (like Plant Rescue) and also something which kills on contact, both from B and Q. Many of the products are aimed at fruit and vegging plants so should be alright for marijuana. My plants were all affected just like yours and seem to be a lot better now from me using Plant Rescue (the nozzle is rubbish though). All your pictures clearly thrips to me but I don't know anything fusarium wilt I'm afraid. I suggest a visit to b and q, homebase, or any garden centre that sells pest kill products TODAY! Good luck.

Good thing your plants are all still in veg, I think most systematic killers say you can spray only once or twice but when you do so to spray both the bottom and tops of the leaves (and probably also the stems and the soil as well). Basically, be liberal and clean the room when you can with some bleach and water or something. My plants are looking much better now, I've sprayed once and the only thrips I can see now are dead. I'm going to give it a second spray soon to hopefully make sure they don't come back. Sadly my plants didn't get me stoned at all (still yet to try the last one) but I don't know if that's purely down to the thrips. I only spotted the thrips over half way into flowering and as the flowers weren't getting me stoned at that point and as there weren't many fan leaves left on any of the plants I decided to concentrate on killing the thrips in my veg room before I flowered any more new ones. I expect you'll have better luck than I did. I'm no expert by the way but as you know thrips are definitely not good for the plants.

I live in the uk and been getting thrips on my pepper plants a lot past month or two, getting hot now so to be expected. You definatly look like you have thrips, mine move quite fast and hide along the veins if i try to squash them. I used the fruit/veg spray from b&q but it just burnt my plants. I also got some of those packets of thrip and mite killing bugs from aquaculture, they come in a strip and get loads of small bugs coming out which are meant to kill thrip larvaee before they get wings. So far i still see the odd thrip but not getting bad or out of control. Last pepper plant i had they pretty much killed, even after i got rid of every single one the leaves kept dying off and the veins turning brown. Read how they carry a lot of disease and viruses so put it down to this.

You've got a SEVERE case of thrips. It is time now to get out the big guns. IMHO, You will not stop this with predators or neem oil type treatments.
I recommend Azamax. It is heavy duty medicine for thrips. Those little fekkers are not easy to get rid of, and they will develop a resistance to any pesticide so if you live in a heavily infested area you will have to constantly rotate products.
Another new product is Conserve. It is also quite effective and with low residuals.

The good news is that once you have it under control, it is much easier to prevent with predators or a regular preventative spray.

Cheers for the reply have you used Azamax before and how do you use it? do u just spray it or is it like that Plant Rescue cuz u can only spray that twice in a plants life cycle.

also ive just started them into flowering so will it be ok to hit the plants with Azamax and will it affect the quality of smoke?

So what happened man, how'd things turn out?
did you end up going bug bomb on their asses?
nah m8 havent had to get the bug bomb out, used that Plant Rescue and it seems to have killed most of them cant see any live ones since i sprayed them with Plant Rescue. The veg rooms is looking good but the flowering (which is only week1 in flowering) may or may not have a few hiding somewhere im not sure yet cuz i removed most of the damaged leaves but all it takes is for 1 female to survive and it will breed like fuck and there will be hundreds within a few days. ill try and get some pics up of how they r looking now but ive been saying my prayers that theyr all dead, gona try that Azamax

I used Azamax last winter during a thrip infestation that lasted several months. By the time I realized it was thrips, mine looked as bad as yours.

I tried Neem oil, Safer Insectisidal soap, Azamax and Conserve. I used one product at a time once a week for 3 weeks. Azamax was the third product I used and it killed 95% of the thrips. It had very little effect on flowering activity.

I still used Conserve one time just for good measure and haven't seen any thrips now for more than a month.
It is systemic so I just thoroughly wet the leaves and lightly misted the buds. I run a perpetual garden so they were in 4 different stages. I sprayed as near as 11 days before harvest with Azamax and did not taste anything different after a 7 day flush and 28 day cure.
I am not sure but I believe it recommends 3 uses per season maximum. What you have to do is rotate products until they are under control.
It can also be used hydroponically.

Have you tired predator insects?
I forgot to ask if you knew how to check for fusarium wilt by cutting a stem in half at a 45 degree angle and checking for rust or red color lining in the inside of the stem.

Have been searching alll over the internet again for Azamax or Conserve as they seem to be the best but im in UK and cant get them anywhere could only get shipped from USA which will cost a fortune and take weeks so was wondering if anyone knows anything else i cud use and buy in UK on top of Plant Rescue??? bongsmilie

B&Q or Homebase have loas of things like 'Fruit &Veg killer' or 'Bug Clear' which all say they kill Thrips but you can only use them two or 3 times per crop was wondering can i use these even though ive already use Plant Rescue? :?: just need something to wipe out the remaing 5-10% before they breed like fuck again :fire:

Don't know about in UK. It is sold by General Hydroponics, so if you have a distributor over there they should have it or an equivalent.
If you can not find it by name ...the chief ingredient is Azadirachtin.

Try this link.
It is the Azamax page. It has a link to a product locator in the top right hand corner under "Quick Links". It should hook you up with a store if you enter a postcode or the UK distributor. (that's what it is supposed to do, anyway)
