its 3 weeks, almost 3.5 weeks old and small. im pretty sure the lights were a problem. it just got "enough" light for the last 3 days or so. you can tell where its stopped stretching, i think.

but i also think its yellowing.
and the stem is red.
and the leaves are small...
and it may be growing slow, but the lights were weak and far away for the first 2 weeks i think.

i did dilute some piss a while ago and water it with the stuff, thinking it needed nitrogen. nothing has changed.

i got new soil since then.

its been repotted twice and one time the pot fell over and i had to handle it a bunch to get it back, but its grown alot since then.

it may be overwatering, cuz it has never been droopy, ever. and i water it like every other day recently. watered it every day-ish a for the first few weeks.

it also had a very erratic light cycle.
i had it outside during the day, and then under cfls for the first 2 weeks. now im 24/7 cfl.

im going to 18/6 like cannabis college says.

im under cfl's as you will see.

im in regular, no name soil i bought from the local nursery.

bagseed.

i know its alot, thank you guys...

+rep for good help. thanks.

pH for sure, bet you haven't checked it have ya?

I also think that every grow faq should start off, PLANTS DONT NEED TO BE WATERED EVERY DAY.

no i have never checked it. im super broke.

i read online u can check the ph with vinegar. if the soil+water fizzes its alkaline.

this plant kinda looks like it is in some sort of shock from the soil transplant ... maybe ? otherwise it is liking the light, hence pointing up towards it reaching out. if it was drooping or wilting i would say differently, but anyhow give it some time to adjust and show a little tlc :P

i thought so because i cant get the cfl any closer.

someone else said not enough light.

Your light needs to be a few inches away CFLs work great from 3"-5" away from the tops. Your pH is off. The plants are yellow because they cannot uptake nutrients properly with your pH way outta whack. You said your broke, but pH test strips ($7 for like 50 of them) are pretty cheap man. If you are gonna slack on your grow, you can't slack on the water you are using. Always measure pH and know what you are watering with, otherwise you get a plant like yours.

Youll be lucky if that one turns around.

Also your leaves are not pointing up because they need more light. Autoflowa is pullin that outta his ass. They are pointing up because the soil is far to acidic.

lol, i knew i was onto something with the cannabis college thing in oakland, but really didnt know it was called oaksterdam :(

... thanks badeddude :P
Why are you jacking this guy's thread?

Lumpus, your plant looks miserable. It should be as big as that after 5 days, not 3.5 weeks.

You have multiple problems.
1) Not enough light. Those cfl's will not cut it. Get yourself some 26w 6500k daylight cfl's that put off 1650 or 1700 lumens. You can probably get 4 for less than $10.

2) Shitty soil. If you plant in shitty soil, you're going to get shitty product.

3) No nutrients. A 3 week old plant needs food to grow. A 3 day old plant needs a little food if there is none in the soil. I'm betting your soil didn't come with nutrients pre-added. The leaves are yellow from lack of nitrogen and the stem is red from lack of phosphorous. Get some cheap fish emulsion fertilizer for $5 and a NPK ratio of 5-1-1 to start with. Don't use your urine, that is gross and unnecessary.

4) Overwatering. The roots need to dry out completely between waterings to allow oxygen uptake. Constant watering = drowning of the root ball. Let the pot dry out to the point where it feels light (it will feel heavy immediatly after watering).

5) Not enough research. Do some thorough reading regarding the growing process. With the lights and soil and no nutrients you've described your plant doesn't stand a chance. You need to understand growing marijuana is an investment of time, money and resources. You can't put a bagseed plant under a 13w cfl and expect to yield more than 2 grams.

Hope that helps. Growing is a serious operation. If you treat it like one, you'll be greatly rewarded.

If you treat it like you have been, you're only setting yourself up for disappointment.

Why are you jacking this guy's thread?
jerry, jerry, jerry ... tsk, tsk, tsk !

why so rude ?

the Op (lumpus) originally posted something about cannabis college. Thread jacking was not my intention, nor is it such. if you consider having a post conversation in response to what was posted within the inclusion of the original topic, you are lost sir.

jerry, chock this up to a failed attempt on your part at bullying a new member to this site.

on another note it seems like all your advice you have given in response to the original post are nil, especially considering the advice already given by other posters is short and sweet, as well as concise and after all is said and done will help more than your elongated posting attempt at thwarting an easily handled solution.

cheers !
