so i dont have any mason jars or anything, so i emptied out a pickle jar, washed it a few times with soap, and it still smells like pickles inside. im guessing this will affect the taste of my bud. anyone know how to clean one of these out, or is it hopeless?

If you clean the jars out and let them air dry and leave them open and outside They will lose the smell.. I have a few hot pepper ones that I did this with and it worked

You could pour some salt into the jar, add some water (not enough to dissolve all the salt) then put the lid on and shake it up. The abrasive salt might help shift the smell. Hope this helps

Walmart has great glass and plastic airtight clamp on lids for under 8 bucks
At my Wal-Mart they sold a pack of 9 or 12, I don't remember, for under 11 bucks, plus tax.

Try some rubbing alcohol and salt, it's what I use for my dirty glass bong, it seems to work well.

I had a smaller pickle jar a few weeks ago that I used for weed. I rinsed it out a little and threw some pot in it to cure. The pot completely overpowered any trace of pickleness. If you have your doubts, shake a little rubbing alcohol around in it and let it dry in the sun.

Yup the smell of the food absorbs into the plastic material on the bottom of the lid that seals it it better.I have removed that crap before and the jar still sealed fine just not as well.but i finally broke down and got some snap lid mason jars they are the best, they seal really wellbongsmilie

the pickle jar is working real good. just did some hot water + soap and also some hydrogen peroxide, since it couldnt hurt. airing it out after that helped and i cant smell it.

anyway, i put some of this shit i bought called warlock in it. omg its the best shit ive ever had. its like touching jelly when you go to pinch it, its so sticky. easily the most confusing high ive ever had, but yeah, wow.
