Photo Description of What "topping" accomplishes, Thanks UB

Ok, so yes, this was a Male that I destroyed from my grow. I trimmed him down for my own journal so that I could see what the effects of my topping was. It was very interesting to see with all the leaves off. I remember each cut I made! It was very scary for a first time grower to start hacking away at his little babies. Now I see the total after effect first hand.

So after creating something for my own use, I though I would share it with all the other new growers in here. This was all thanks to Uncle Ben, thanks UB, my females are very full, happy and have the same 4 cola's as this shell of a man!

This also shows the stage that the alternating nodes began to start.

Very interesting, normally you obtain 4 nodes with just one cut though...seems like you topped for 2 nodes 3 times

I may have done it slightly different after comparing them so closely, but the outcome seems to have been the same and my females are very happy. I counted 25 flower sites on my Dolly today.

I noticed that some strains throw out less shoots than others, indicas bush like crazy. I'm no expert, but my sour diesel had that same 3-blade pattern early on.

Yea, I would like to know for sure but that probably wont happen. I have 5 clones bubbling as we speak so hopefully I will have 5 more females in a week. even 3 would be awesome. lol

That's how I did it also. Worked just fine. got 4 big colas (like 24") and a bunch of 3-5" Popcorn balls

Edit: I did my first grow this year using his tips for topping and God bud turned out great. Thx UB. Don't know if I ever did tip my hat to ya.
