I'm into week 8 on critical purple and they're starting to get really fat and tons of frost. Just installed scrog. Bout 3 more weeks and I'll be chopping one down. But I would say around week 8 or 9 they begin getting dense

Gotta love that critical. Can’t wait to see some fat nugs. Do you think the yellowing could be a nitrogen defincency and would adding any even help at this point?

N deficiency typically shows at the lower base of the plant and on older leafs. I personally dont sweat minor discoloring especially this far in the cycle. I just let em do their thing and water, feed and flush accordingly towards the end cycle.

Critical purples usually run til week 11 or so. We will see what kind of weight she puts on in the next week before I begin flushing her.
Wow that looks good man. Would love to try it. Yea it started from the bottom now it’s all over the place. Was just wondering if the nitrogen in the cal mag would help but the poison 420ppm water I’ve been using throws everything off

Ive been happy with the strain got 10 other plants going. But the cal mag wouldn't help imo. But I have some other bottled nutes incase I were to run into something like that. But honestly you're not too far from chopping her down maybe couple weeks ?

Are you growing in organic soil? You can flush all you want but as those organic amendments continue to break down they continue to change the soil. The OP isn't growing in Promix which has nothing in it. They're growing in an organic soil with organic amendments. Dumping gallons of water and chasing pH is a waste of time with what the OP is using as a growing medium..

Period...
Organic or not, PH is important

Yea man you've gotta be close have you scoped the trichs? Ilk harvest mine when they're mostly amber for a full couch lock but when most are milky they can be cut too. I'll start flushing next week to prepare for harvest.
Not yet. Should I use a microscope for that? This is what it looks like up close. I’m just waiting for them to bulk up

Yea theres still 3 maybe 4 weeks left. I have a microscope and a jeweler's loupe. Most mine are clear a few cloudy which tells me I have 3 weeks or so left regardless if I want them to get bigger or not. Scope will tell you where you're at. Trichs always tell you where the plant is. Looks good though !

Thanks boss. Gonna have to get one. Pushing nutes and distilled water till harvest. Maybe one week flush. Increasing nutes every week. I want some nice buds!

You definitely need a way to look at trichomes to know when it's time to chop.
20X minimum.

I recently had a plant that was still popping white hairs like crazy -- but it had a few amber trics and was definitely done.

you are lacking leaves. you're not removing fan leaves at this point are you? after about week 3 of flowering i don't pluck anything off my plant that doesnt fall off naturally.
What do you mean? There’s a ton of leaves. If they look wrinkled up and dead I pull them off. More than 70% dead it doesn’t benefit the plant. But I guess I will leave it for now

maybe thats okay if they are more than 70% dead. I dunno. but the plant is cannibalizing itself using the nutrients from those leaves to build the buds so if you pull of fan leaves this late in flowering it hurts your yield.

Ok I won’t touch them for now. I was told by a few people if they look yellow and dead to pull them off. I’m looking for at least and ounce or two from each what do you think?
