Nice, get busted for hacking. Since 9/11, this is considered a federal offense, and they might even try you as a terrorist.
5 years back, in my old appartment, I used to run a wireless network just for the sole fact of luring people into MY network. Once they are logged into MY network. I can hack the living shit out of them without breaking any laws... Your now on MY network. TCP/IP packet sniffers, you name it. I knew exactly what this person was doing on my wireless connection.
Stealing wireless inet is a sure way to get caught if you have someone like me on the other end of the network.
I'm sorry but VERY bad advice to be giving out! =)
If you want to be as safe as possible... Upload pics to a site such as this, or imageshack and do it while your proxyed (I prefer imageshack, your pretty damn anon there, all they have is an IP of who uploaded the pic (if that). I piggyback onto 2 proxies, so my real IP is always 2 hops back. If they ever wanted to do a trace to find my real IP, it would be a royal pain in the butt (not worth the time/money/trouble)
As I stated earlier, if your not growing 30+ pounds a month, you have nothing to worry about. If you are growing 30+ pounds a month, you may want to rethink why your in this hobby. There are other ways to make good money besides an illegal way (and you will get busted a some point growing 30+ pounds a month) =)

how come no one has mentioned this site does not log IP's?
even if u look up the "whois" for this domain, it will give u false info to keep the identity of the webmaster private.
there have been bills and laws made to protect the identity of people like us thanks to clinton.
The U.S. has spent billions of dollars trying to "fight the war on drugs" but when bush came into office his focus became "fighting the war on terrorism" so most of our taxes and government funds go to the war, and they wont spend millions of dollars and manhours to bust an online forum of stoners....especially when half of them are growing for medicinal uses.
there have been several posts/threads about this just do a quick search

That's not exactly true. Under the so-called Patriot Act, the US government has broad authority to do all sorts of things as long as they say it's related to terrorism. So if they decide the reason you're growing pot is to finance terrorism they don't have to show much proof of anything.
However I will agree that the likelihood of them bothering to do so is low.
And if the site is hosted in Canada, and doesn't log IP, so much the better.

I think it is very unlikely anyone will get busted from keeping a journal on this site, so go for it....it's fun! 
.....but also, think on it the other way round.....
If you were unlucky/stupid and got busted anyway for other reasons, you could actually use your journal to help prove you are just growing purely for personal/medicinal reasons and certainly not selling it. As long as you make that point clear in your journal somewhere and don't grow kilos a month, you won't get done with intent to supply. I don't know about laws elsewhere, but here in the UK, as long as they don't think your selling it you only really get a slap on the wrists. Assuming it's your first offence etc etc....

wow as i was reading that, i realized that a private registration of this site only protects the site owner from a stalker or an obsessed member, but it does nothing to protect everyone else. If the Cops subpoena'd any personal info we have on this site they could probably get the email address we registered with, and then trace that back to us. :-0

Rollitup has the IP tracker disabled on the server.
Unless you give specific info you will be fine.
If you post pics make sure they do not have location or identity tracker info.
I would not give your exact location to anyone either.
If you live in a state where medical mj is legal and you have permision to grow then go for it.
I am sure people like fdd2blk could care less about pics and security.
Just think twice before you do anything that could come back and bite you on your ass.

i'm saying what i said, the server has logging software installed. if this is site is on a shared server, ok, but since it's not a shared server...
draw your own conclusions as to why it's there. it could be turned off but i don't know, nor do i care. any info i give to this site is an acceptable disclosure on my part.
the US and Canada have an agreement to allow "spying" on each other in order to avoid violating domestic civil rights. look up echelon.

basically, just ask yourself if the feds would look good or bad putting a pic of your grow on the front page. if we're talking a truckload of buds - that makes them look good. a couple pounds....not so good. just CYA.
