So how was the El Dorado?

And what did you think of the Rainbow Road?
I only done one seed of the rainbow road, it was a decent smoke but was an unruly sativa for me as I've low ceiling height, ~ 4ft.
I much prefer the short squat indica hybrids for that reason.
The el dorado I'll try again, the yield was average on it so maybe next time it could better.
I'm pheno hunting for the 'holy grail' lol
No paradise growing now.
I've about 8 different strains going at moment, mostly fem and 2 regulars, maybe do a bit of seed chucking.
So next run I'll give the white berry a run.

Nebula is a decent smoke, I grew it out about 10 years ago :bigjoint:
Nebula was the very first Paradise Seeds strain I grew out over 20 years ago. I agree, its nice heady smoke. I even grew out some test seeds that were Nebula x SSH ("Nebulaze"), but they didn't make it to market because they threw the odd hermi. But the ones I grew were dynamite smoke. There was one partucular plant that flowered for 11-12 weeks and had a real lemon-haze taste/smell that kicked everyone's arse. Nebular itself usually goes for 9-10 weeks from seed and 9 weeks from clone.

you happen to have a pic of your RR? what I saw from other reports showed a really favourable structure with very low leaf number (easy handtrim) and nice grape-like buds
a real beauty but rather a medium-yielder
his L.A.Confidential also caught my interest

Took some hours of searching lol I dumped a lot of pictures for security reasons.
I'll do the El Dorado first.

I spoke to Luc a couple of months ago about these two strains and he said he preferred the LA Amnesia high but that the Rainbow Road was a better yielder. I know the Paradise Seeds website says they both have the same indoor yield, but looking at @Moflow 's RR it looks just like it was described to me: high calyx-leaf ratio and heavy yields if you let it go 10 weeks. I asked for it because the grower I had in mind for this grow saw a photo of RR on Instagram and really liked it. Plus he was a bit more interested in yield than high. I was curious just to see how it would turn out. Hopefully I'll have an update soon.

Absolute bombs mate! Someone lobbed a comment into this thread (now removed) claiming I was a shill for growing out three Paradise Seeds strains at once, but honestly, when you've grown a few of Luc's strains out like we have it's hard to look at other breeders. No slight on other breeders, but Paradise strains rarely disappoint. If that makes me a shill, so be it. But I don't work for Paradise and never have.

Tangerine Sorbet

This is the one I'm excited about. As a big fan of Wappa, the Tangerine Sorbet (Wappa x Thin Mint GSC) promises to deliver, both in terms of yield and high. As mentioned, Wappa is one of the favourite commercial strains around my area,

So 7 out of 7 seeds popped and in about three weeks time they will go to their new home where all 7 will be grown out against our 9-year-old Wappa clone to see how the young upstarts compare to their "Mum". Due to the seeds arriving in two deliveries, four were started two days ahead of the other three. They already look a bit sativa to me.

And here are the Glowstarz 4 days since the last photo, just doing their thing at the moment after a foliar spray.

OK, confession: these are not Glowstarz. Apparently the test seeds got mixed up and these are related to Glowstarz but are not the same as the recent release. I only found this out a couple of days ago. Too late to stop growig them now, so they will get a full run – whatever they are!

Sweet thread, thanks for sharing. Gotta ask how that super sensi star was. I'm a big fan of sensi star. Why did it never get released?
Luc had a particular Super Silver Haze cut (can't confirm if it was the Bay Cut used in the Blue Dream) and crossed it with his Sensi Star and Nebula. He called the SS cross "Super Sensi Star" and the Neb cross "Nebulaze". I grew them both out as test seeds between 2004 and 2006 and both versions threw hermaphrodites, which is why neither were released to the public.

What I can tell you is that, apart from the odd hermi, both were superior plants. SSS especially. In fact, I kept a clone around for a couple of years even though it did herm, as it only did it late in flowering, by which time it didn't really matter – unless you had other plants in the room that had not finished flowering, and then it became a problem. It was only the odd male stamen – it never went full-on hermie – but that's all it took.

As described, Nebulaze had a real lemon haze smell/taste and effect and flowered for 11 weeks. Super Sensi Star was sweeter, with a slight tropical berry flavour and went 10 weeks. SSS had a very strong high, but it was not the strong "knock you in the dirt" indica high of the orignal Sensi Star, but rather a very strong hybrid high that started off as a soaring sativa head high that quickly developed into a strong combination body high. It was a good smoke and a very high yielder – one of the highest yielding strains I had grown up until that time, but partly due to the 10-week finishing time. If you let it go any longer, it would start to herm.

Update time. The Rainbow Road have settled into their new homes and have now been topped for clones and will be grown out a little more before they are put into flower.

Rainbow Road #1 is the most sativa and has stretchjed its legs ever since it first sprouted. It also has some genetic variegation showing on some of the leaves, something that in my experience is most common with Blueberry-derived varities.

Rainbow Road #3 is the grower's favourite at the moment, which he claims is growing faster than all the others. I'm not sure I see it, myself, as I reckon #2 is definitely leading, but I'm not there, so have to rely on his word. It also has some genetic variegation.

And here's a side-by-side of #4 (left) and #3 (right)

Lastly, a group shot of all five plants. I believe there will be an AK48 going into the sixth pot to act as a base for measuring how the others do, as AK48 is a 60/40 sativa/indica just like the Rainbow Road and is a proven yielder.

For ID purposes, top left is #1, middle left is #3, bottom left is #5, middle right is #4 and bottom right is #2. You can see how well numbers 3 and 2 are doing in terms of growth.

It's been 9 days since I updated the Tangerine Sorbet and "Glowstarz" (test seeds 930C -whtever they are!), but they all seem to be doing just fine in the propagation tent.

The "Glowstarz" are looking very indica and the Tangerine Sorbet have more of a hybrid look about them. They are just starting to smell a little. The Glowstarz seedling top left smells most promissing at this stage, but you just never know what you've got until they finish flowering.

There's a little bit of stretch going on, so time to turn the lights up from around 110W to 135W.
