Hey yall, i been on painkillers for the past 8 years cant stand up for over 45 minutes without them. My life was miserable before i started taking them and many nights i just wish my life would end (never contemplated suicide) suicide has never crossed my mind

anyway my dr last month told me he could no longer prescribe meds unless you have aids cancer or sickle cell anemia and reffered me to a pain management specialist

The first thing they ask me when i call is if im on pain meds. When i reply yes they inform me that they dint prescribe that there so im like wtf these guys cant help me my dr doesnt tell me shit like how the fuck they just gonna cut me off cold turkey like that? Ive been taking my meds and splitting them in half just to avoid getty sick but im down to my last 3 doses and im getting anxiety just thinking of the next couple of days.

Anybody else going thru something like this or know anything? I havent been able to talk to anyone that knows wtf is going on

It's the ham handed way gov't deals with the "opioid crisis". Doctors are being prosecuted for excessively prescribing, various "studies" are appearing in the news that opioids don't relieve pain any better than ibupropen, etc.

Get to an anesthesiologist who understands pain management and ask for a tapering program. Get ready with a lot of pot to help the withdrawal.

See if you can get hold of some Kratom to make tea with, or you can just mix it in some water if you stir like crazy and take it like a large shooter.
It helps a bit with pain, and works on the same receptors as the opioids. It feels a bit like getting stoned sometimes. If you take a bit more you get talkative, if you take too much you get motion sickness.

I feel for you, I was on DF118 for god knows how long.

what has me most upset is the way that they treat you i been going to this dr forever and they dont even take time to discuss what options you have just sign here and thats it.
Insurance dont know shit i tried google and came up with nothing

At some point they'll start recommending surgical/nerve/invasive procedures. Gotta keep that $$ flowing

    jwreck Well-Known Member

Makes you wonder why they have invested so much in afghanistan and those poppy fields

    Singlemalt Well-Known Member

It's all very Orwellian goodthink and doublethink

Yep, I'm guilty of thoughtcrime; I must denounce myself

In medicine it always amazed me how many patients did not have the most rudimentary knowledge of their own body. Worse was how they expected to simply hand it over to you and have you fix it for them while they continued their unhealthy life practices.

They would invest in and knew more about their cars. I always saw it as a get what you give sort of thing. I spent more time on the handful who were knowledgeable, pro active and invested in their own lives.

I'm sure none of that applies to you however that was my perspective on it. You may wish to stop worrying about the unfairness of policy and before those three doses are finished listen to @ANC or @Olive Drab Green and try some Kratom or quickly find an anesthesiologist pain control practitioner and get on a tapering program.

If they got a THC positive urine test the tapering program won't be an option. So I'd suggest concentrates and good luck. This is hard but you can do it and after 3 days off the opiates the worst will be over. I'd even use some alcohol to get through those three days of hell.

    sucks, man :(

"The CARA 2.0 Act, billed as the sequel to the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act of late 2016, would be the most substantive action Congress has taken to address the opioid crisis since President Trump took office.
The bill would aggressively limit doctors’ ability to hand out lengthy opioids prescriptions, exempting only cancer, chronic pain, and hospice treatment from the three-day initial prescription limits. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued new prescription guidelines in 2016 that indicate three-day prescriptions are typically sufficient and seven-day prescriptions are rarely necessary. A number of states have already enacted laws limiting first-time opioid prescriptions to three, five, or seven days."

I just ordered a Rifat Thai rooted cutting. I also got two Tulsi (1x Krishna, 1x Amrita), a Banisteriopsis caapi cutting (Ourinhos variety), 2 Peruvian Torch Cacti, 5 San Pedro Cacti, and my little L. williamsii pup.

Red Vein Bali, Indo, and Bentuangie are best for pain and opiate withdraw. Bali, especially. Green Vein Malay, Thai, or Maeng Da for daytime use.

I read this yesterday but my understanding was that its only for first time users not people that have been dependent on it

I went through it. I was on pain killers starting in 1997.

I finally had back surgery in 2004. Then I had neck surgery in 2007 (they replaced 5 disc in it.) then I had knee surgery in 2008 (the second replacement on my right knee.) Then I had back surgery in 2010. Then I got cancer in 2012 and went through three surgeries for that losing my left kidney, a couple of ribs, part of my pancreas and some other odds and ends. Then more surgery in 2013 to put a reinforced mesh down the entire left side of my torso to hold me together.

I had been on pain killers for so long it was ridiculous. There was a time not too long ago that I couldn't remember living without them.

When I got home from the hospital the last time, I said "Fuck this. There has GOT to be a better way to live."

So I talked to some people, did some research and decided to give marijuana a try.

I hit the web for two weeks reading everything I could find and decided on a couple strains to try. I wound up with White Widow and I've been growing it and using it exclusively since the end of 2013.

It took me weeks to go through the pain pill withdrawals. Luckily, I have a Jacuzzi tub that helped out a lot.

What bothered me most about the withdrawals was the restless leg syndrome. I couldn't fucking sleep at all. If you have that going on, run up to Walgreen's and get their generic bag (get a couple of them as you'll use it from time to time probably for the rest of your life) of the Epsom Salts WITH Eucalyptus.

Double down on it. Mix two cups in as hot a bath as you can absolutely stand. Soak in that for at least 25 minutes or until the water starts to go warm on you instead of hot.

Buy yourself some long pajama pants and good, quality socks. Wear them to bed.

Now you do this shit right before bed. You want to soak, get out, dry off, get your pajamas on, socks on, get right in the bed and go to sleep. It WILL help you if that's a problem you're having.

I will never, ever go back to pills. Ever. White Widow gives me the best of both worlds: pain relief that's actually better than any pill ever was WITHOUT turning me into a mindless fucking zombie.

There are as many different strains of marijuana out there as there are different kinds of beer. One of them is for you, I'm sure. Do a LOT of reading. TONS of it. Be picky. You can afford to be. When you think you've zeroed in on one that will work for you, try to find someone that actually grows it and see if you can give a try. If you can't, buy a seed or two, grow it yourself and try it that way.

It takes time, but once you get the hang of it (which typically only takes one grow) you'll have no problems at all.

    Best of luck.

p.s. Don't let the stereotype of it being wrong and shameful get in the way. The only thing wrong and shameful about your situation is the same thing I was up against: that we both waited so god damned long to do anything about it.

Kratom contains Mitragynine and 7-Hydroxymitragynine. These are caffeine derivatives with partial affinity for the Mu, Delta, and Kappa opioid receptors, except they don’t cause respiratory depression, so you can’t fatally overdose, you’ll just puke (which vomiting up really bitter powderized leaf matter can be worse, for some people.) Mitragynine is 1/10 the potency of Morphine. 7-Hydroxymitragynine is 17x more potent than Morphine. Concentrations in powdered leaf is like, 1-5(?)% Mitragynine, 0.45-0.55% 7-OH-Mitragynine.

I order exclusively from ILGM. It takes longer, but it's worth the wait. They're actually in Amsterdam. What they do is bill you through China as if you ordered some sort of toy.

If you are in the US, for cheap kilos ($89) although has some of the most potent I have ever tried. Their payment methods are limited.

Check Facebook. They have a support group with vetted vendors there.

Live cuttings and seeds? is the only place I am aware of at the moment.
