Pablo's Socal Balcony Grow

By the way, my Easyryder is cured and being smoked as I type. Lately, I've been smoking Green Crack, Blue Dream or White Rhino from the local dispensary. This past week I've been smoking White Rhino which I think is a bit strong for me. Seems to have more of an indica influence to it than I prefer.

Not so with the Easyryder. I have to smoke a full bowl (as opposed to 1 - 2 hits with the other stuff) but it's an awesome, energetic, heady high. This stuff is excellent for hanging out and socializing. Good stuff. Cheers.

The Diesel Ryder and Big Devil seeds popped. I planted them in FFOF this evening.
Good luck! I am going to have to wait to start the diesel ryder seed i got due to unplanned events. Might even have to hold off for few months or so! Finish up what i started though of course with the 3 plants i got going atm and i am pretty sure im going to experiment with a reasonably long drying and curing process....don't worry ill those half grammers spare though! :-)

Any guess as to what my doggies nuts WW will yield...starting to flower already but has been stressed of recent due to very inconsistent lighting cycles! I never understand on the seedbnks how the write yield per m2.

Hi James. Life happens and you gotta go with it. Good luck with your pending harvest. I couldn't hazard a guess as to the yield on your WW, tho. I've never grown one. Cheers!

Thank you KingIV20. Yeah, about 2 more weeks until harvest pics. Hopefully they plump up quite a bit between now and then. It's been a particularly dreary spring/summer in SoCal so far. Probably even more so where you're at. Just trying to keep staggering grows while the weather holds. Cheers.
Yeah it really has man, very strange weather patterns and shit for this time of year...things are changing.
I'm planning on LST'ing at least some of my girls next round, doing the spiral shape in the buckets I have - it'll be my first time doing it, you have any advice or words of wisdom? much appreciated.

Keep it good man

My LST'd Kush is my only experience with the process. It's actually fairly easy. Just make sure to start tying down before they get too big and inflexible.

I just removed a worm from one of my plants. It was eating a hole in a leaf. I've been fighting the same worms on my tomato plant. They don't appear to be bud worms. I haven't found any of the tiny eggs, or any other worms or damage. I've just been picking them off of the tomato plant. I just sprayed the entire garden with BT.

the girls are looking good dude. no eggs or flies on them right? keep those tomatoes far enough away so they don't make their way over to your herbs.
and as for that full on karate kick to the dudes chest in the game, haha damn that looked really painful. cleats and all....I'm surprised that wasn't a red card.
peace

yeah thre were some really shocking calls at the world cup i thought...what about the goal that frank lampard scored against germany to make it 2-2 just before half time...surely that if anything is a game influencing call!!

To be honest, I've never watched a lot of Soccer. But from the little I've watched, it's a sport that seems ripe for instituting instant replay.

That tomato plant is close to my plants. It's basically to block any potential view of my plants from that side of the balcony. I get these tiny white flies, but they've never been a problem. They land on the plant and die. Don't seem to be causing any damage. It's the budworms that I tangle with. I've been diligent with the BT, and so far no little eggs. But for my 2 plants in late flowering, this is the time when those eggs usually show up. I thought about getting some type of netting to place over the plants at night, but haven't gotten around to it.

Cheers.

Nice growing going on Pablo!

That flushing you mention, how does that work and when do you need to do that?

Thank you automon!

In theory, flushing helps flush out any remaining nutrients in your soil. The argument is that your plant will continue to absorb those nutes, if left in the soil until harvest, and will result in off flavors in your bud. So, some growers will flush with straight water about 2 weeks prior to harvest. And just feed with plain water from there on out. It is suggested to use 3 times the amount of your pot size. If your plant is in a 1 gallon pot, pour 3 gallons of water through it.

I've only seen anecdotal evidence, at best, that it even works. I don't worry about it much. I've smoked my own weed that has been flushed, and some that has not. I can't tell any difference. There's plenty of threads on here discussing this and some folks swear that you must flush, and some say it's pointless. That's my round about way of saying you don't NEED to do it, but if you're convinced that it is beneficial, it can't hurt. Good luck!

Your LST is looking good, bud. thats gonna be a beautiful bush by the time it starts flowering:leaf:
Thanks King! I'm thinking about topping again, I haven't made up my mind. I was thinking about topping anywhere from 2 to 4 separate tops. I'll probably tie her down some more today. The sun finally arrived and things are starting to take off.
